  i had an idea that i could build a uk map of everyones location which would show you instantly who is in your area from jwd.. (it might be an idea to do a seperate us one aswell but i'll wait and see if this one takes off first, or if anyone from the us wants to volunteer to do that one).

  (and australia but you are all in the same backyard anyway - literally!!!).

  anyway, all you have to do is post or email me your username and town and i will draw you on the map above which will change gradually to include everyone!.

  some people who were alive in 1914 will still be around to see the big a according to the 2002 theocratic ministry school outline.

  i downloaded the 4.8 mbyte zip file the other day and was looking for references to 1914.. from section number four of the june 17, 2002 entry (page 112):.

  How long a time period would these last days prove to be? Jesus said regarding the era that would experience the "beginning of pangs of distress" from 1914 onward: "This generation will by no means pass away until all these things occur." (Matthew 24:8, 34-36) Thus, all the features of the last days must take place within the lifetime of one generation, the generation of 1914. So some people who were alive in 1914 will still be alive when this system comes to its end. That generation of people is now very advanced in years, indicating that there is not much time left before God brings this present system of things to an end.

  i'm always dipping into c of c and 'freedom'.. in crisis of conscience, ray examines the oral sex issue in some detail.

  he candidly says that this practise did not meet his personal standards but that he was troubled in voting with the majority to enforce a ban on 'rank & file' jw's.. many of these wrote in to the society to question, in ray's words; the scriptural basis for the governing body members inserting themselves into the private lives of others in such a way.... okay, maybe it's just my juvenile mind but it made me chuckle!.

  Dissociated family excluded from funeral services

  apparently, disassociated relatives are not allowed to be in the procession lines at kingdom hall services.

  they can attend but they cannot be with their relatives to receive condolenses.

  this happened recently to someone whose aunt had passed away.

  If you are DF'd or DA'd then you live by your own rules!! You are a JW no longer!

  If a mormon elder 'forbade' you from drinking coffee would you take him seriously? Fuck no!!!!
  If a JW elder 'forbids' you from '[being] in the procession lines at Kingdom Hall services' saying that you 'can attend but cannot be with [your] relatives to receive condolenses' how will you react?

  Of course you need to show discretion and compassion at a funeral and it may be the wise thing not to make a fuss and cause even more upset at such a sensitive time but c'mon!!!!

  If someone close to you dies, someone you love, maybe your mother, brother, cousin or grandfather, what would YOU do?

  It may be their Kingdom Hall but the deceased is YOUR family!

  Fucking watchtower bastards! Fuck, fuck, fuck.......................................

  The Kingdom Ministry and Jehovah's Witnesses

  what is the purpose of the kingdom ministry?.

  the 1995 october 15th watchtower stated that the parable of the sheep and the goats will be fulfilled some time after the great tribulation.. up till that time jws were led to believe they were engaged in a separating work in fulfilment of that sheep and goats parable.

  but from 1995 on, the watchtowers increasing new light shifted the emphasis from a separating to a preparatory work.. this leads to questions : what is the purpose of their kingdom ministry and in what way does it prepare people?.

  I had a similar situation to yourself, but with me it was my older brother.
  He'd stopped going to meetings when he was 17. I remember taking the "Life everlasting" book into his bedroom to try and get him to come back to meetings. When he refused the book I just broke down. Having the constant thought that the same God who would save me would also destroy my own brother used to tear me apart!

  i had this available at the old altjw site, just a bit of an oddity really.

  it's a little program that displays the 'day's text and comments' in a little viewer.. i couldn't think of a single reason to inflict this upon any of you here - until now!

  you see, i just heard that the wt don't want this program distributed anymore as it can be 'misused should it fall into the hands of opposers'.. good enough for me!.
