I for one will miss her VERY much! I will remember her for her great voice, music, beauty and the happiness her music brought to millions of people... She was a very beautiful person who fell into the trap of addiction. She did way more good, bringing happiness to millions, than she did bad, mostly bringing sadness to herself. Personally I believe she has gone to a much better place where she can get the real help that she needs. I believe in the promises Jesus spoke of. I love her and am very sad she is gone but happy her pain is over...

The Watchtower and most everyone on this planet know they have many false prophecies yet they try to act as if they never happened in many cases. Notice:

The following quotes were published in the May 1, 1997 Watchtower:

“JEHOVAH GOD is the Grand Identifier of his true messengers. He identifies them by making the messages he delivers through them come true. Jehovah is also the Great Exposer of false messengers. How does he expose them? He frustrates their signs and predictions. In this way he shows that they are self-appointed prognosticators, whose messages really spring from their own false reasoning—yes, their foolish, fleshly thinking!”

The same article in the May 1, 1997 Watchtower quotes ISAIAH 44:25, 26 as the theme scripture, “I am . . . the One making the word of his servant come true, and the One that carries out completely the counsel of his own messengers.”

Another quote from this same Watchtower article:

“These deceivers continued in their mad course of predicting things against God’s will. So Jehovah God told Ezekiel: “Woe to the stupid prophets, who are walking after their own spirit, when there is nothing that they have seen!”

Another quote from this same Watchtower article:

“As for Isaiah, all his divine messages about Jerusalem came true. In the summer of 607 B.C.E., the Babylonians destroyed the city and took a Jewish remnant back to Babylon as captives. ( 2 Chronicles 36:15-21 ; Ezekiel 22:28 ; Daniel 9:2 ) Did these calamities stop the false prophets from bombarding God’s people with vain babblings? No, those lying messengers kept at it!” Notice how the Watchtower describes liars here!

Another quote from this same Watchtower article:

“…all people living then saw God’s ‘bared arm’ exerting power in human affairs in order to bring about the astounding salvation of a nation. They were given unimpeachable proof that Isaiah and Ezekiel were Jehovah’s true messengers. No one could doubt that Zion’s God was the only living and true God in all the earth. At Isaiah 35:2 , we read: “There will be those who will see the glory of Jehovah, the splendor of our God.” Those who accepted this proof of Jehovah’s Godship turned to worshiping him.”

Where is the “unimpeachable proof” that Jehovah’s Witnesses are Jehovah’s true messengers? Is there anything that they predicted that actually came true? We know they will point to 1914 as a fulfilled prophecy but the truth is nothing they said came true. Just the opposite. 1914 passed and the leaders were thrown into prison. They wrongly applied prophecy to that as well. What do all of the onlookers in the world think about these messengers? Have they been given this “unimpeachable proof” that they are the true messengers of God? We all know what they would say if we asked them that question.

Another quote from this same Watchtower article:

“How thankful we should be that Jehovah identifies his true messengers! He is indeed “the One making the word of his servant come true, and the One that carries out completely the counsel of his own messengers.” ( Isaiah 44:26 ) The restoration prophecies he gave Isaiah and Ezekiel magnify his great love, undeserved kindness, and mercy toward his servants. Surely, Jehovah deserves all our praise for this! And we today should be especially thankful that he exposes false messengers. This is because there are many of them now on the world’s scene. Their grandiose messages ignore Jehovah’s announced purposes.”

What can we say to this? Honestly it boggles my mind. I truly do feel sorry for those who wrote this and those who believe it. Could there be a clearer case of blindness? Jehovah has not carried out “completely” the council of these messengers. The word “completely” leaves no room for error. True messengers of Jehovah have their messages come true and are backed by “unimpeachable proof” like Isaiah and Ezekiel could claim.

Please consider Romans 2:17-24 , “If, now, you are a Jew in name and are resting upon law and taking pride in God, and you know his will and approve of things that are excellent because you are orally instructed out of the Law; and you are persuaded that you are a guide of the blind, a light for those in darkness, a corrector of the unreasonable ones, a teacher of babes, and having the framework of the knowledge and of the truth in the Law— do you, however, the one teaching someone else, not teach yourself? You, the one preaching “Do not steal,” do you steal? You, the one saying “Do not commit adultery,” do you commit adultery? You, the one expressing abhorrence of the idols, do you rob temples? You, who take pride in law, do you by your transgressing of the Law dishonor God? For “the name of God is being blasphemed on account of YOU people among the nations; just as it is written.”

In an effort to reach my brothers I would like to ask the governing body of Jehovah’s Witnesses these questions, “You who condemn others who made false predictions do you make false predictions? You who condemn others for false teaching have you taught false teachings?” It must be pointed out to you that because of not practicing what you preach “the name of God is being blasphemed on account of YOU people among the nations; just as it is written.”

Please consider Matthew 12:37 , “…for by your words you will be declared righteous, and by your words you will be condemned.”

Do the words written by the Watchtower about false messengers declare them as “righteous” or “condemned?” I will leave that call up to God but I don’t want to be standing to close when the Watchower is judged…

All of this is proof that the Watchtower does willingly outright lie to hide the truth about their history. Claiming that they are true messengers of God when in fact, they know God has not carried out completely their words, makes them liars! They condemn themselves with their own words!

Pray for me (pain)

i don't usually ask for prayers in here but i'm really down and out.

i have a pinched nerve in my lower back that will not get better.

also, my right foot hurts.

Why anyone would use a request like this to preach their atheistic views/religion is way beyond me. Doctors recognize that FAITH is important in the healing process. Negativity and stress kills and preaching your atheistic view to a person who is asking for prayer is not helping her. True she needs to go to the doctor and get as much help as possible as soon as possible but prayer and encouragement will help her to keep a positive attitude through all of this.

Dear StopTheTears please know that our prayers are with you. May God help you to endure your pain and give you strength to cope during this difficult time. My wife has had chronic pain issues and her faith has helped her to endure. She has been to many doctors. Recently she has had accupunture and that has really helped. Chinese medicine goes back thousands of years. You might want to look into that. Another thing we learned is they don't charge as much as most doctors do.

Did you raise this child as a JW? My boys shunned me but I respected them for it. I taught them to obey the JW's org. They did it because they LOVE me and thought it was the only right way to help me return. WHY can't you see this? This is YOUR fault if you RAISED them as JWs!!! Not theirs. What did I do? I sucked it in and got reinstated just so I could talk to my boys. My oldest one who loves me with all of his heart in tears asked me if what he did helped me to come back. Truth is, YES, I never would have for sure. I didn't break his heart and tell him I no longer believe it. Because I got reinstated I have been able to place doubts in his mind. It is true, now he is fearful of me being "apostate" but we all know why. These children are confused. If you at one time was fighting for the JW cause and then left your children out there on the battle field because you no longer believe... It's your fault not theirs. I went back into the battle field to get my children out. That is where they are. Your child is where you left her/him. Now you are hurt because they wont talk to you? So now you want to show them and keep them out of your will? That will only reinforce what the WT says about you won't it? That you really don't love them. If that is the message you want to send to your child then go for it. Leave them out if you don't love them. Personally I could NEVER do such a thing to my child. Loyal JW's are NOT BAD PEOPLE!!! They are captive to a concept. I know many here will disagree with me but face the facts. YOU raised them in this cult. Maybe you didn't... I know I did. I will LOVE my children even if they don't speak to me for the rest of my life. I suggest you do the same. Then the pain in your heart that you are feeling will go away.

By the way... I got DFed because I got a DUI. I felt it was wrong that they DFed me so at that time I researched everything on JW's. I learned "The Truth About The Truth." Even though I never wanted to be a JW again, I owed it to my family to "REPENT". Now if I get DFed again.... My children won't think it is because I sinned and couldn't man up... It will be for not believing all the false prophecies. They know how I feel now and only because I got reinstated. Now I am fading out... MY WAY

God... it was so much easier when all I had to do was read my Watchtower and let the borg figure all of this stuff out for me. Now I see the GB can't even defend their teachings. They need this dude Rolf Furuli to defend their dates. Now we got these guys C. O. Jonsson and this resent poster Larsinger who both sound like they know what they are talking about to me who have apparently been debating for years. Call me "thick" but I am at a loss and I don't feel like reading through all of this history to make heads or tails of all of this. I will leave it up to these "experts" and then maybe cast my vote later. As for the Watchtower, my vote has been cast. You can only cry wolf so many times and the wise will wise up. I can no longer trust them. As C. O. Jonsson and many others have clearly shown, they are quite dishonest when quoting other "scholars." I try to follow threads like this and marvel at those who can actually understand all of it. I thought C. O Jonsson had it all nailed down until Larsinger popped into this thread. I don't think anyone can figure it all out. Sorry Larsinger but to me, you sound a little nutty when you say the GB was DFed in 1992. As if God was actually using these false prophets up until then? They are the "Man on Lawlessness"? You must be from e-watchman or something. I respect your Bible knowledge and your opinion but I just can't buy that. Why would God use a lier like Rutherford? Rutherford and Russell were both false prophets as well as Freddy Franz and ALL that followed him. Now you yourself sound as if you are a prophet making claims. When is all of these false prophecies going to end?

I can relate to Jesus Christ because he was simple to understand. His message of love and forgiveness was very clear. He also said that it does not belong to us to know the times or seasons. He said he would come as a thief unexpected. He said not to go after those who say the day has drawn near. I am going with Christ and his teachings. I put my trust in no man as the Bible warns us. I have been deceived enough by man.

If You Were God How Would You Prove You Existed

i ask this because obviously everyone has different criteria, hence why we have muslims who think quran is the more than enough proof, christians who think the bible is perfect proof and atheists who believe that nothing yet has been proof enough of gods existence.. living with humans we all must have a good idea of human nature (god should certainly know) so what would you provide as proof if you were god to convince the masses of your existence?.

if you were a christian would your proof surpass that contained in the bible, would you provide less proof?.

if you are atheist would you provide a mathematical equation or a series of supernatural events that fulfill prophecies every 100 years?.
