  I would like to see is patrons drop to zero. Won't happen, of course. There are always those who disregard moral and ethical considerations. And there is a strong probability that some of his supporters were disfellowshipped for folly far worse than his. They'll always stick around, at least until they become so bored with his nonsense that they find another voice to support.

  Look back at Lloyd-boy's past interactions here, I ran across him scolding one of mom's real life friends who was on here as oldgoat. I remember oldgoat. We used to meet him in Portland, Oregon, for coffee and snacks, and he and mom would talk history. Two former professors talking shop. Anyway OG commented on a photo that Lloyd thought showed Watchtower hypocrisy because the convention hall was adorned with US flags. Not only was this long before the flag salute issue, but the flags were left over from a previous event. He ranted at OG for the correction.

  That's Lloyd's style. No one must question him in any fashion or doubt anything he might have claimed as true. Lloyd is boring. And I think that and his mental issues are his greatest fault.

  the narrator of the book of ecclesiastes had very little knowledge of many things that jesus and his apostles later preached.

  the author does not make statements, but only wonders (thinks, observes, often raises questions, and leaves them open).

  he looked at the world based on the law of moses and found nothing but vanity, as the earthly reward promised in the law did not always accompany good deeds and earthly punishment for evil deeds.

  Either Ecclesiastes is inspired or not. You cant have it both ways. If inspired, it is the inerrant word of God. If not, your Bible is corrupt and the whole falls with the part. If inspired, then the dead truly know not anything, or Holy Spirit lied.

  Your attempt at emulating Jesuitical thought is exceedingly poor.

  Paul spoke in response to a direct address. This is not the same as a prayer to Jesus. Your point is a 'false analogy,' a common logic fault.

  In Stephen's case the Bible says: "54 When the members of the Sanhedrin heard this, they were furious and gnashed their teeth at him. 55 But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, looked up to heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. 56 “Look,” he said, “I see heaven open and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.”"

  He saw Jesus and God in vision. [Note that the verses describe Jesus as at God's right hand and not as God himself.] Stephen addresses his petition to a Jesus he sees. This is a conversational transaction. If you pray to Jesus, then shouldn't you follow the pattern set by these verses, and only address him when you SEE him?

  i guess you could say jesus was the first christian, since he was the christ.

  and as the first christian, jesus spoke more about hell that any other biblical figure.

  but, he is also the figure that said that he didn't come to condemn the world, but to save it.

  The fire is everlasting, but it does not say those thrown in it are.

  And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Mt. 10: 28

  This says that the soul dies. If something is destroyed, it no longer exists.

  i've come across stuff on the web that states that russell claimed to be both a knight templar and a mason.

  and also stuff on here that quotes various such organisations saying that russell didn't display enough knowledge about them to have ever been a member.. why do people act like such a revelation about russell is some sort of smoking gun?

  rutherford purged russell from the organisation as soon as he could.. the people who would be more worried about the accusation would more likely to be members of the various surviving bible students groups.

  Millions Now Living was a Rutherford product. Not Russell's. Russell never said that Michael was the Pope. [Oh, for goodness sake!]. And for historic context, many believed as did Russell about the great pyramid, including clergy who are still read and admired. That would include Seiss and Larkin.

  Russell never claimed to be a mason or a knights templar. Too much silliness in this.

Evans brought this on himself by means of his unwarranted pride and immorality that even many who were disfellowshipped for sexual misconduct would find repugnant. He continues to defend his abuse of others, his lack of 'penis control,' his abusive relationship with his wife, and just plain, every-day stupidity.
