NO religion in the US pays property tax unless they rent it to a commercial enterprise.
leaked info:watchtower received $497 million from one country (britain) in last six years!
[must watch!].
this video was just released with documented proof, see this link: https://jehovahstruth.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=187#p187.

I don't see this as any sort of scandal. Have you researched the finances of other denominations? Aside from that, what adherents contribute is their own damn business. NOT yours.
jehovah's witnesses are a cult .
pure & simple!.
the wickedness we see prevalent today among the jehovah’s witnesses can no doubt be largely attributed to the leadership of the organization, the watchtower society and it's governing body.
Don't pick on the original poster too hard; he felt the need to rant, even if it meant preaching to the choir.
was it jehovahs witnesses who acknowledge the church father as leading teachers?
this is a very interesting statement by justin.
do you accept origen as an authority when he said jesus is our god?
Joseph Priestley's History of the Early Opinions Concerning Jesus Christ Compiled from the Earliest Writers, a multi-volume work is found here:

Well worth the read and balances the claim that the 'early fathers' were all Trinitarian.
okay all you history buffs, compulsive researchers and simply curious: can you identify the location and date of this photo?.

Joseph Priestly wrote an extensive history of non-Trinitarian belief in the post-Apostolic age. In fact many of the early writers were not Trinitarian. The OP is as guilty as the Watchtower in quoting selectively. I recommend reviewing Priestley's work, if you can find it.
Calling someone a "leading teacher" means nothing more that that they were well-known. It is not an endorsement of their teaching.
if it is illegal for minors to get married, enter into contracts, drink, and smoke, why is it legal for them to enter into lifelong religious contracts they can not break without family shunning and community ostracism????
how religious shunning ruins lives.
a form of institutionalized estrangement, shunning hurts health of the excluded.. updated march 27, 2024 |psychology today magazine.
Psychology Today is not a psychiatric journal. The two are not the same. This isn't a medical journal and the articles are not peer reviewed. Psychology Today is a 'popular' magazine meant for the general public. So it doesn't carry the same weight as The American Journal of Psychiatry or similar professional journals.
Use it with caution.
hello my friends,.
here are some encouraging scriptures for the day:.
revelation 21:2 i also saw the holy city, new jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from god and prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.. hebrews 11:10 for he (abraham) was awaiting the city having real foundations, whose designer and builder is god.. revelation 21:24 and the nations will walk by means of its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it.. revelation 22:1 and he showed me a river of water of life, clear as crystal, flowing out from the throne of god and of the lamb 2 down the middle of its main street (of the holy city).
thank god. perhaps he is in a mental health facility.
i used to comment here many years ago when i had an interest in biblical research in relation to jehovah’s witnesses.
these days my biblical research is little concerned with jehovah’s witnesses.
i feel my time is better spent researching the diachronistic development of the biblical text and ascertaining what the biblical writers and editors intended in the times in which they lived.. i have recently placed a summary diagram for a paper that i have written with original research entitled the narrative structure of the hexaemeron on academia.edu.
Examining literary forms isn't a total waste of time, but, if we're writing about a document's function in its original society, form adds little to our understanding. The Genesis creation story is the antithesis of those of surrounding cultures. It is clearly meant to set Yahwism in contrast to the beliefs of "outsiders."
I can visualize an elder sitting near the fire retelling this story to teach that Yahweh is the one true god.
Perhaps your time would be better spent examining the uses of this narrative within Hebrew society as shown by parallels found within scripture and by examining contrasts with neighboring religious. Just a suggestion.
Exposing another's lack of depth may not be the best way to educate them. Doing so tends to become insulting rather than educative. PSch's reply covers his/her own lack with insult and impatience.
did you know that the answer is provided in the scriptures through the 70 weeks prophecy?.
daniel’s 70 weeks prophecy explained.. the 70 weeks were split into three parts.
here is the reason why.. the prophecy is not only about the messiah, it is also about god’s people and the holy city, as verse 24 makes clear.
Another prophet with mental health issues.
