it was getting a little crowded in heaven, so god decided to change the admittance policy.

the new law was that in order to get into heaven, you had to have a really bummer day on the day that you died.

is this issue of the watchtower being part of the un department of public information of any significance?.

at the district conventions of jehovahs witnesses there are flags of the united states and other sovereign government such as states or other countries hanging from the buildings.

the governing body and the watchtower society rent buildings which become the equivalent of kingdom halls for the weekend.

when we see news reports of jehovahs witnesses who are reported to have done something bad, what do we think?

sometimes people ridicule us for that.

obey and become his special property, disobey and be rejected.

my husband and i started adoption proceedings over a year ago so he could adopt my 2 sons from my first marriage.

well today we finally had the court hearing and guess what.................the adoption went through!

my hubby is now the boy's father!

What is your most ridiculous example of being shunned?

i was just having lunch in a wendy's near my house an hour ago.

an elder and his wife entered and got in line to order without seeing me seated in the eating area.

after a minute the wife turned and saw me.

My Dad (never a JW) and I were returning home after running an errand. My Mom had been battling Ovarian Cancer (she was inactive)and this woman named Dot (a member of the 144,000) was just leaving after stopping to visit with my Mom. SHe greets my father very warmly and then loud enough for me (and the whole neighborhood!) to hear announces, "I can speak to you, Andre, but not Leslie. She' s disassociated and as such, blah, blah, blah..." My dad was livid! He told her she was rude and a hypocrite and to never come back to his house again! WHen Mom found out, she was just as upset. That pretty much nixed any effort on my Mom's part to go back to them.

I originally began posting here after my brother (Mr. Biggs/Funchback) told me about you guys. I wanted to get closer to him once again and found him sharing so much about what had been going on in his life-every day, sometimes 3, 6, 12 times/day!- I would peek in and read all his posts and gradually got caught up in all of your lives as well!! I also realized that I still had many issues swept under my own rug that tied into my being an ex-JW. It has been a place of healing for me.

Pathological fears?

what do you fear the most?.

we were relocating a person who works with us to another place , turns out she had a pathological fear of dwarfs and since one worked there she came running back to us.... not sure i have any real pathological fears, however i remember having to get out of pitsburgh due to the high buildings, then i couldnt stay in new york when i saw the hight of the twin towers and other buildings, dont know if i was pathologically scared or just totally overwhelmed.. anyway, whats your fear?.
