I know this is an old thread but I just discovered this show myself and so far after watching the first two episodes I concur. Interesting watch.

A Perfect Life Isn't Worth Living?
by Sorry inthink of your favorite tv shows.
what do they all have in common?
the answer is they revolve around some type of problem or conflict.

It seems to me the Eden story of Adam and Eve is an allegory about people being unaware of themselves until Satan came into the picture and helped them to become self aware.
So humans were much like the dogs I have out in the yard. laying on the lawn all day doing what dogs do never getting bored because they don't have a concept of time or themselves.
I guess they are kinda dumb.
Maybe that's why the WT is dumbing everyone down. To prepare humans for paradise. :-)

Hey dark,
is the Mirror a reliable news source?
We have the "enquirer" and several other tabloids in the states but they are so inaccurate in their reporting that it's more of a joke.
Do Brits take reporting in the Mirror, The Star, The Sun and the like seriously?
I've been wondering this for a while.

1919 What???
by NikL ini had seen it before but never actually looked.. sure enough in july 15 2013 wt .... 17 in the past, we have stated in our publications that these last four references apply to jesus’ arriving, or coming, in 1918. as an example, take jesus’ statement about “the faithful and discreet slave.” (read matthew 24:45-47.
) we understood that the “arriving” mentioned in verse 46 was linked to the time when jesus came to inspect the spiritual condition of the anointed in 1918 and that the appointment of the slave over all the master’s belongings occurred in 1919.

I sure like Rutherturds wheels though Finkelstein.
I would imagine that would be the equivalent of a Rolls or a Bentley by today's standards.
And they used to blast televangelists.

The other that ALWAYS was in my mind about the slave is that the way it's written makes me think that it was BOTH good and evil.

Has 1919 been abandoned? Is the sky falling?

In a recent book study we considered in the "Gods Kingdom Rules" book...
7 Shortly after he was installed as King, Jesus took steps to prepare his followers for the vast work to be done. As we saw in Chapter 2, he did an inspection and a cleansing work from 1914 to early 1919. (Mal. 3:1-4) Then, in 1919, he appointed the faithful slave to take the lead among his followers. (Matt. 24:45) Especially from that time onward, that slave began dispensing spiritual food—by means of convention discourses and printed publications—that repeatedly emphasized the responsibility of all Christians to have a personal share in preaching.
So is it dead or not?

@steve2
Apparently, the most recent "light" states the evil slave is not a literal class - so all current references to this Scripture scrupulously avoid using that old Rutherfordian nomenclature "The evil slave class".
Something that seems to escape them too...if the evil slave is not a literal class...it stands to reason the faithful slave is not either.
@ compound complex
I think they call it keeping up with Jehovah's chariot.

I had seen it before but never actually looked.
Sure enough in July 15 2013 WT ...
17 In the past, we have stated in our publications that these last four references apply to Jesus’ arriving, or coming, in 1918. As an example, take Jesus’ statement about “the faithful and discreet slave.” (Read Matthew 24:45-47.) We understood that the “arriving” mentioned in verse 46 was linked to the time when Jesus came to inspect the spiritual condition of the anointed in 1918 and that the appointment of the slave over all the Master’s belongings occurred in 1919. (Mal. 3:1) However, a further consideration of Jesus’ prophecy indicates that an adjustment in our understanding of the timing of certain aspects of Jesus’ prophecy is needed. Why so?
18. A consideration of Jesus’ prophecy in its entirety leads us to what conclusion about Jesus’ coming?
18 In the verses that lead up to Matthew 24:46, the word “coming” refers consistently to the time when Jesus comes to pronounce and execute judgment during the great tribulation. (Matt. 24:30, 42, 44) Also, as we considered in paragraph 12, Jesus’ ‘arriving’ mentioned at Matthew 25:31 refers to that same future time of judgment. So it is reasonable to conclude that Jesus’ arrival to appoint the faithful slave over all his belongings, mentioned at Matthew 24:46, 47, also applies to his future coming, during the great tribulation.* Indeed, a consideration of Jesus’ prophecy in its entirety makes it clear that each of these eight references to his coming applies to the future time of judgment during the great tribulation.
19. What adjustments in understanding did we consider, and what questions will be answered in the following articles?
19 In review, what have we learned? In the beginning of this article, we raised three “when” questions. We first considered that the great tribulation did not begin in 1914 but will start when the United Nations attacks Babylon the Great. Then, we reviewed why Jesus’ judgment of the sheep and the goats did not begin in 1914 but will occur during the great tribulation. Finally, we examined why Jesus’ arrival to appoint the faithful slave over all his belongings did not occur in 1919 but will take place during the great tribulation. So, then, all three “whens” apply to the same future time period—the great tribulation.
Wow.
So the slave was appointed in 1919...then it wasn't...then it was.
Seems more like a strobe light than a light getting brighter.

In honesty I wasn't paying real close attention to the part because i kept wondering if the society was sending financial aid to these poor folks in Russia.
