i feel the title is an attention-grabber, but in no means am i looking to start racial tension on jwn.. i know in the past, at least to the 50's from what i've read, the watchtower society has been very demeaning toward people of a less alabaster pigment.
in one instance saying white people were superior and god blessed them that way for good reason.. however, i have not been able to find an official statement from them in any of their printed works that either clears up or apologizes and further corrects that bold standing.. so, to those much wiser than me, is there an official statement from the watchtower identifying people of different race as equal?
and if not, to the ex/current brothers and sisters who are of an "ethnic" background, what are your feelings on the society's derrogatory statements being left unchanged 60-100 years later?.

hi guys,.
i used to have a copy of the flock book but no longer.
i went to the same link as i downloaded before and it's no longer working, pulled down by big brother, no doubt.
Any chance of getting a valid link sent to me via a PM,.. anyone?
Thanks if possible,,,,
on a recent thread, i posted a question there but was too late.
it had fallen off the radar.
that thread was about someone who had an attorney mail notice to their local congregation that they had terminated membership.
" I quit, your fired"
At what point can you hand the elders a DA letter, where you would have been DF and they will go with the DA instead.
I think it is at the point where you meet with a JC and they want to talk among themselves, and when you come back in to hear their answer, when they give the answer of DF, it would be too late. Is this correct?
SO if you handed them your unknown till now, DA letter, before the last meeting among the Elders, this would work I think.
I did hear a audio recording in the past where this happened.
It would seem that there has to be a specific time that it will go one way or the other.
Any ideas?
i was reading one of the posts here that 15 year old was df'd but he got reinstated in 5 months.
do you know of any case that someone got reinstated pretty fast after being df'd?.
Less than 2 months, and I hear that 2 months is a minimum.
you read that right.
just finished talking to steve a half hour ago.. november 19 at 10pm est, steve hassan's interview will air on cult free radio on ustream.
i will also have a co-host that evening to discuss bite mind control and steve's interview.. https://www.facebook.com/cultfreeradio.
Are you serious!!
How in the world did you pull that one off?
Can't wait to hear about it,..
Please put it on Youtube for more people to be able to hear,..when you get the chance.
misgivings, to be sure, .
another pursued her .
with real intent, a burning zeal.
Sometimes I think that the "Marry only in the Lord" was for the benefit of the unbeliever.
i've always been told that i have a very good personality, that i'm humorous, etc.. one elder called me over and said that i was "smiling too much".
the other elders talked to the elder who counseled me and he came back to say that i should be like i was .
.
Not a formal counseling, just stupid rule at convention.
At a convention and a 8-10 yr old parapalegic, or a cereberal palsey boy in a laydown wheel chair had been wheeled up to a 2nd floor level to get a better view of the Drama on Sunday.
He was wheeled into a specially marked area just for wheelchairs etc all marked in blue and designated for this use. The parent was getting him all situated as that drama was getting ready to start and
an attendent approached the father and told him that he would not be able to be stay there as they had been told not to let anyone be in that area. Now location was not blocking the view of anyone above at all as the
next level of seating would be behind him and started about 7ft up.
I aproached the attendent and got fairly heated at him and told him that this area was designated a space by law, ADA and that he does not have permission to deny this child this spot. He said that was the rules and the father said it would be okay and the
father of the boy did not cause a scene and pushed his son back to the floor area where all good children with physical challenges are supposed to be.
I was livid!!!
That was a pretty good wakeup call for me, made me see that something was not right here.
hi, i was reading on here a while ago that some of you guys and girls suffer from panic attacks.
how common is this in the jws?
the wife had a bible study today and i was sort of listening looking for a discussion point.
Funny, I just posted this info over on JWR a few minutes ago,.. and maybe I am having these panic attacks,.. just did not know what they were.

Since I have been deeply doing research (reading this forum) even before, for the last few years I would say I have been having small burst of anxiety, maybe for a second or so each time.
I would only be able to compare it to the feeling when you almost fall backwards in a chair, and you catch yourself.
That rush you get knowing that you almost fell, it's like that but on a lower scale. Seems somehow that feeling is less if you actually fall, not sure why.
But if that feeling, in the chair, was a 10 on a scale of 1-10, then these feelings are about a 5-6 for about a second or so. I've even had a slight body jerk, or twist, kinda like when you are chilled. Get this, even have made a slight vocal sound when it is worse.
Many times, all throughout the day I feel like a 1-2 for hours at a time.
I'm able to function normally but am wondering if this is somehow tied to what I'm discovering about the WTBTS?
Anyone else have any type of physical abnormalities during the time that you were, or are now, finding out the truth about the truth?
hi everyone.
as a parting gift to you all before i take a much needed break from this forum, i thought you would be pleased to know that the independent, a leading uk newspaper, will be publishing a piece on the "mentally diseased" watchtower article in tomorrow's edition.. i would like to thank everybody who has assisted the journalist, jerome taylor, in his investigation.. best wishes to all of you,.
cedars.
If apostates are "mentally diseased" then they would not really be responsible for their actions, right?
i've managed to find scans of all of judge rutherford's 100+ page books (23 in total) except for one rather elusive title:.
"can the living talk with the dead?
" circa 1920 by judge rutherford (128 pages).
I'm curious, but not enough to read the PDF all the way through just yet.
What is the jest of the book, did they think that people could talk with the dead?
Sense tells me that it must have a different view from what is believed now, yes?
