It seems that they are changing their "black and white" thinking to "Black and Blue" thinking.
Seems like they are hammering the elders for being too nice lately, several threads make mention of this.

WT Elders school: Avoid black and white thinking - now look at this zebra
by sir82 incontinuing on with my haphazard review of the recent one-day elders school..... in one of the introductory talks, the co was making the point that we can't view things merely from a black and white perspective.
many issues have "shades of gray" and we need to use discernment in such situations.. and i'm thinking "finally!
maybe he will continue on to make an actual, reasonable point!".

why did the governing body decide it was ok to carry a united nations identification card for the watchtower society as a whole?
this makes no sense, shows how little the governing body and the "dark corporation behind the organization" does not care for jesus christ's little sheep.

Yes, they could have reasoned, "We have found a way to use Satans WILD BEAST of Revelation against himself as a way to further the preaching work in foreign lands, and the WILD BEAST MUST comply with honoring our request to become a member"
I'm sure that they would have found some scripture to back it up and of course it would have been fullfilling prophecy to boot.

In respect to headcovering, can you get away with a sheet of toilet paper??
by Gill inwhose idea was it anywhere and is there any mention of it in any awake or bodgetower?.
the idea, that women when taking the lead in anyway or praying should have something on their head as a sign of respect suddenly struck me as a sign of total disrespect!.
i understand a woman may put anything on her head as a sign of respect to her superior male colleagues, including a used kleenex....i've seen it so don't doubt it!!.

If a JW sister is conducting a Bible Study for a group of people in the hospital where there are men but not JW men, does she need to wear a head covering.
If not, and a JW man comes into view, she should, according to JW rules, put on a head covering at that point.
I'm thinking of attending one of these meetings just to get the Sister to have to stop and put the head covering on so that it looks a little weird to the others.

SmithMandy defection (alleged) what could have prevented this?
by notjustyet ini woke up this morning to a few post trying to get the moderators attention to take care of a few post by user smithmandy.. so like a user will do, they start looking for these post to see what is going on.
i was not able to see these post as they had already been edited by the mods.. i've also thought that possibly smithmandy had set their account to autologin and a fmaily member found the site and posted the content.
i was not able to see it so do not know if there was more content that would show something else.

Has this happend much? I know that some probably return without alerting us to the fact as they are afraid at that point to come on here and continue to post.
So if smithmandy REALLY did decide that the WTBTS is correct and that WE are in error what allowed these thoughts to germinate into their mind, what could have been done to prevent this from happening? I know I want to do the best to make sure that I and my family do not have anything left in our brains to urge me to return to the WTBTS as I know that it is a cult. But Smithmandy actions show that it can be done.
Any comments on how WE can prevent this from happening to us?

Are They Cynically Shutting Down The Organization?
by metatron ini've raised this idea before but recent events seem to support it.
changes in the watchtower may be guided by more than a need for cash flow: they may simply be liquidating/shutting it down as discreetly as possible.. of course, this doesn't mean they stop working on their upstate ny country club - but it could mean that the throrough going exposure and disproof of their beliefs on the internet, when it emerged, took many of them by surprize, as it did many of us!
after awhile, they generally gave up trying to make any sense of their doctrines - and coupled with cash flow issues - moved towards a quiet retreat.. take a look at a few things:.

I forsee in the future JWs will go the DC , CA and instead of being given a new publication you will be given a stub with a scratch off segment that will show a URL to be typed in when you get home.
On the flip side of the Stub there will be a statement not to share this URL to those that have not attended their DC, CA as you do not want to take away their experience of recieving their very own URL at the apropriate time.

What I think about the "We just love this idea" of David Splane
by Gorbatchov inthe jw.org video about the annual meeting contains david splane saying "we just love this idea", when talking about the adjusted fds doctrine.
"we just love this idea"????
when it becomes one of the fundament teachings of the organisational part of a religion, the rank-and-file witnesses are expected to be convinced about these kind of doctrines.
