Uninvited...again...
by Anders Andersen inso a week or so ago we received an invitation for a jw friend's wedding anniversary party in the mail.it was addressed to 'the andersen family' (and not just mrs. andersen & baby andersen) which was pleasant of course, but not a huge surprise given the type of person who said friend is.. however, i already prepared myself to be uninvited after all.
some time ago, there was a congregation farewell party/get-together.to my surprise, i was invited too!
an elder specifically came over to my house to tell me.then some weeks later, he visited again, being terribly sorry but the invitation was revoked as the congregation got concerned over my possible presence.. with that debacle in mind, i wasn't surprised to receive a message from my friend 'hey are you at home?

My family and I had left back in 2011 and she had a family member getting married and I told my wife she will not be invited to the wedding. Initially she didn't receive an invitation so she called the mother of the girl getting married and asked if she was going to get one. (This is the short version, my wife asked in a very nice way, not demanding)
She said of course, it here but not mailed yet. So all is good. I reminded her that something will happen before it's all over.
Within a week of the wedding the bride to be asked to come over and talk and my wife and the girl went to talk in private and sure enough, was uninvited to the wedding due to "issues that may make the other guest uncomfortable and also her spiritual family would always be there for her even if her biological family wasn't etc"
The girl probably wanted my wife to be ther but I feel she was pressured to uninvited her as the arguments she used seemed above her and sounded like it was from higher up.
So wife is great about it and tells her she will always be here for her if she ever sees things differently etc etc.
Wife had previously told the bride to be that she wanted to purchase her a set of starter pots and pans etc for about 399.00 ish and that although now uninvited that she still would keep her word as she still loves her etc etc
Get this, after the uninvited the girl sends my wife a text with a link to a set of pots and pans for 500.00 + asking "What do you think about these?"
Wife said she thinks the 399.00 ones would work fine for her.
I asked her to give her a check, which she did, as I want to frame the check along with the revoked wedding invitation for reminders.
Wow,...

Geoffrey Jackson's Golden Apple watch INVESTIGATED
by C0ntr013r ini went through the original footage to get a good look at the watch.. from these pictures we can probably say that it is a apple watch and that it has a golden color.
the color on the pin is black, and the band is white, grey, silvery or beige.. .
the pin is in the exact place for it to be a apple watch.. only apple watch edition have the gold color.

News article on JW convention
by Sugar Shane inhey, i've pasted below, a link to an article about the jw convention in the state of oklahoma, just sent to me by a jw relative.
according to their spokeman, it's the first one to be held this year.
he is also quick to mention all the 'persecution' in russia, while staying silent on the worldwide abuse, and shunning issues (a form of persecution in itself, imo).. if anyone would like to help me add to the comments section, it'd be appreciated.

Jehovah intervened in Russia
by Sour Grapes ini saw the recent video that the borg put out about the trial in russia and how pleased the russian brothers were that a member of the gibbering booty, brother sanders, came to support them for six days.
well, there was a one-day delay in the trial which enabled the russian witnesses to have the memorial in their kingdom halls.
well, brother sanders was very quick to point out that it was very evident that jehovah intervened to enable the brothers to celebrate the memorial.

22,000 years of arctic ice cores melt, and wash the YHWH/JESUS concept down the sewer
by fulltimestudent inthe full story, as told in the uk guardian can be found at: https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2017/apr/16/arctic-ice-cores-melt-university-alberta-canada.
and briefly it tells of an equipment failure at a storage facility for ice cores that had been extracted from the polar ice cap in various locations.. but note, that the layers of ice evident in the cores covered a period of 22,000 years.
and from the christian/jw perspective, that's impossible, for the bible story of the flood (verified by jesus and sundry other biblical writers) maintains that 4000+ years ago, the ice caps would have melted during the period when the earth was covered by the divinely caused deluge.

This was like only 160 or so years ago. Wouldn't there be some evidence if we had an ice age so recently?
It was the Swiss researcher Louis Agassiz who first determined that there had been an ice age back in the middle of the 19th century.

warwick is having an open house! here is your chance people
by nowwhat? indon't know which saturday it is but it's an open house for the surrounding community.
while on the your tour group , ask tough questions about the organization's policies on pedophiles and shunning.
do this as a concerned citizen and not a "raging apostate" .

If in the tour with local officials you could mention "doesn't the wtbts teach its members that politicians are under the control of Satan?"

"It is BECAUSE I value Truth and Honesty that I have chosen to no longer attend"
by stuckinarut2 inyes, i used that line when questioned by someone as to why we no longer attend.. it needs to be used calmly and without any arrogance.
then this direct, yet simple comment can't help but make the person think!.

Prince’s Wife Tells All About The Star’s Involvement With Scientology
by oppostate inaccording to prince’s wife, mayte garcia’s new tell-all book, even though the late star identified as a jehovah’s witness, he was also quite interested in scientology in the 90s!.
the woman who was married to the rock icon for 4 years until 2000 revealed that another celebrity tried to convert him to the controversial faith.. however, it turns out that the singer chose to step away from the religion.. according to garcia, he thought scientology was “intriguing,” but ”i don’t need somebody telling me how to believe in my god.”.
“he was always a spiritual seeker…he was way too smart to be sucked into something just because he was vulnerable in that moment,” the wife stated.. furthermore, garcia, who is now 47 years old, revealed that prince became a jehovah’s witness as a coping mechanism following the death of their baby boy, amir.. prince’s friend, bassist larry graham was the one who introduced him to the religion that soon took over every part of his everyday life.. because of that, he changed so much his marriage with garcia was ruined.. the woman explains in the book that prince was so much into the religion that he thought god was punishing him for the type of life he used to lead and that his infant’s death was the greatest price to pay for his reckless existence up to that point.. garcia, who was a born catholic, could not see things the way her husband did, no matter how much she tried.. “i…refused to embrace the gospel according to graham.

I'm 90% PIMO but events in Russia made me stop and think maybe Jehovah is real and helping
by Isambard Crater ini'm at the stage where i'd love a big scandal to come along showing clearly that the j.w's are not the true religion, but sometimes i get touched inside by various thoughts or events, the russian court trial being one of them.. i mean, j.w's are understandably fixated with attending the memorial, so why didn't the court say it will resume on monday or tuesday, instead setting wednesday 12 april as the date?
part of me believes the comments from pro-j.w's that jehovah moved events so they could attend the memorial.. it seems the j.w's will not be banned, which makes my mind and heart wrestle between thinking jah's behind it, or maybe the ministry of justice is just woefully prepared compared to the superb australian royal commission team who did their homework.
it surprises me the russians seemingly haven't done any homework..

Imagine if Bernie Madoff, the worlds biggest Ponzi scheme architect stating "Someday,.. the authorities will come after me and make claims about the way I conduct business and will try to stop me from doing what I do" and when this happens it will prove that I was correct in making this statement and this will shore up your belief in me"
This works on those that that have not done their research on Bernie Madoff.
Also sometimes a persons belief in whether the wtbts is backed by a supreme being does not flip over instantly. It can be a transition. Sounds like your somewhere in there moving toward figuring it out but still have some residual cobwebs that need to be rooted out. I think most of us have/had a little bit of "what if"
