Massive hints against alcohol

in the most recent assembly there were several heavy hints about not drinking alcohol at all.

saying that it doesn't give a good witness or would stumble others.. is this a new "unwritten directive?.

Massive hints against alcohol is the G part of the FOG. It also makes those who do not drink feel good, able to point fingers, guilt them along with WT, and hopefully wake them up. They know a lot of people drink too much to cope with the org.

WTF is this stumbling thang anyway? He's done something I don't like so therefore it's not the truth so I'm off? Seems pretty juvenile to me.

Then they can point to those that left and gossip, put them down, etc. "They must've been stumbled. He/she is so stupid."

BTW, the Shepherd the Flock of God's acronym is STFOG! Ha!

Kevin's video above is absolutely brilliant. First exjw video that can make you laugh and cry. And it is less than 7 minutes long!

Way to go Kevin McFree. You have real talent, and I do not see you on a fund me type site anywhere. Real class act. Wish I could say that of people that I see very little talent in... Oh I got a bit snarky there! I'm not talking about JC, btw, but others who are asking for money while their yt videos are horrible!!!

Final Episode of David's Story regarding sexual abuse and Jehovah's Witnesses was released today....

i've just released the final podcast from david's story which is a bonus episode formed from a discussion that we had in the pre-interview.

i think that it contained some valuable information and insights through our discussion of not just the response (or lack thereof) to sexual abuse within the cult of jehovah's witnesses, but also about other related matters.. i hope that david's openness about his life has made an impact on others, and invite any that listen to leave him a word of encouragement at http://shunnedpodcast.com/episodes/ under either episode 6, 7, or 8, all relating to his story.

he knows people in the media and had offered a few months back to see if anyone would be interested in doing a story on what i'm doing through my podcasts this jw life" and "shunned".

of course i was excited but things take time and you never know if they'll pan out.

Now That JWs Are Encouraged To Use Ipads Is There Evidence of Getting in Trouble on the WWW?

i’d imagine that if you have a ipad or ipad that some witnesses will get into trouble.. what say you?

I imagine if they are already good at doing a google search, and get fed up with JWs lousy search engines, then they might use a search engine like google to find their answer. At that point they may come across accurate information via JWN, etc. Otherwise, they have all their bookmarks and are afraid to look elsewhere unless an elder forwards them something. I have seen someone set up their computer to open to about five JW tabs. This person feels the internet is only for JW stuff even though they do other things like netflix. No need to search when all your tabs are open!

I searched for a video that was at the meeting, but not on the website. That started my awakening.

They use so many QR codes so people don't have to search.

If they do not have an inquiring mind I do not see it happening.

My two cents.

Hmmm. But they do tell everyone 'worldly' about JW.borg... that must bring up some accurate sites with the borg links.

IDK anymore. I see hubby using google occasionally for JW stuff, but he is not curious enough yet and stops before the good stuff. He never clicks on a link.

When the student is ready, the teacher will appear.

Cousin's Runaway Girlfriend Living with us

my cousin's girlfriend moved from another state and is now living in our home.

they said she lived in a bad situation, but i don't believe them.

my cousin lies.

How would they be notified and would they take action or even believe it.

Go to JW. Borg (org) and scroll down to Congregation Meetings of Jehovah's Witnesses. You will find phone numbers to congregations. Call around 9 in the morning, noon or 1, and around 7pm.

I do not know if they will take action or if they will believe it. They think they are saving her eternal life. It's a cult.

Helpless and Very Sad Grandmother

i am the grandmother of the runaway 18year old girl who is now living with her 22 year old idiot.

this person has totally brainwashed my granddaughter and is continuing to separate her from our family.

i feel so helpless that there is nothing we can do to make her see this - no money, no identity, and a servant to him and his family.

Try to find former JWs in LA that you could get to know. Keep posting here, as that may help. Arleta looks like just a tiny neighborhood north of LA. Anyway, maybe getting to know an exjw that could come to her aid when she is upset and wants out. AND more precisely before the JWs can turn her again with their love bombing and mind control as Brenda wisely alluded to.

Maybe try Zeb of I'm Worldly on Youtube. He may know some ex-sisters in the area. He is in Santa Monica, which is close to LA. There is also another exjw in Santa Monica, Adrian of Down with the Tower on Youtube. He is a father and I think he is married. These people will get you started with contacts. Message them privately on Youtube, or email Zeb, and remember those private messages on Youtube can never be deleted. So, if someone is in your account and wants to read them, they can.
