good day former jdubs, i'm a new member, particularly looking for it experts whome can verify if the jw apps track its members and record audio, particularly the khonf app.

if you download app on google play store and click the headphones, a pop up requiring user to click pop up to enable audio recording is displayed.

i'm minorly aware of the evolution of tech and tracking scandals.

If they don't recognize a person on KHConf phone in, they go around asking other elders or servants most likely (because the elders sit on ivory thrones figuratively) if he recognizes this number. If they don't recognize the number they can kick you off, and in the last year or so, probably would, unless you are in a particularly chill congregation. Now there's an oxymoron. I've heard them bragging about throwing an unknown number off the line. So, someone goes through their contacts, and says, yeah that's so and so's number, keep 'em on. It's a little hub bub it at the meeting among the servant body and the sheep are like "what's going on?" (because they are bored out of their minds). KHconf keeps track of the minute you call in and the minute you hang up, and keeps the info for at least months if not longer. They assign a name to the number in the system. I would not doubt it has an archive feature. Or at least weirdos can screen shot the results. You can print off who was on for the longest the last 3 months or whatever length of time you want, 4 months, etc. It counts up their minutes and tallies them. Brother or Sister crazy that calls in 30 minutes early always wins.

Also, people are saying this is what they do in China, yeah right. If you want a ticket out of China and a bill for it with those Zoom security leaks!

BTW, they lie so much. I heard they didn't have any web security and Jehovah miraculously took care of them until 2015ish when some JW alerted them to the danger. Well, ex-bethelites who worked in web/internet security tell a different tale from 2011 when they were threatened by Anonymous. They had security before that and locked that s... down.

They closed NY Bethels to the public March 7th. Way before they told JW's to stop meeting, in fact they encouraged some to continue to meet according to the letters from Atlantis and Petra. Well, at the least they did not discourage meeting, and we know they are brainwashed into thinking not going to meeting could mean losing their life in the big A. We had 20+ old people at meeting the week of March 9th (we listened in, refusing to go because we have some brains). I also think a case could be made that they first told Britain and other places to stop holding meetings for publicity because of IICSA and other sensitive areas.

I feel your pain. This zoom thing is also just wt's dream, with some elder's saying to keep your video on, no eating or drinking, dress up. (Do we sit in a circle at the hall to watch everyone's expression???)

I don't know if it would help, but maybe find a documentary on the black death or something like that (like the one that killed like 20% of the world's population, am I right on that?) and watch it loud enough for her to hear it?

JWbrainwashing had a good parody of an old drama, he or she sliced together all the times they said Jehovah. It just repeated it over and over. Kinda funny, and kinda real and as annoying as heck. It is gone now. I think JWBrainwashing is PIMO, because he or she immediately took down all the vids that wt wanted taken down. They were parody and not just copies. Anyway... Jehovah!

are the dubs still going to the meetings?.

They are using zoom or phoning in. Sometimes they all listen to JWStream, sometimes a small group holds a meeting, sometimes it is all on zoom, That way they can keep track of who is listening in or watching, just as a cult would. The phone in lines keep track of the time people come on and off to the minute, and they keep that data for months if not longer. Some elders are telling people they need to keep their camera on on zoom, and they are not allowed to eat or drink, and of course they need to dress up. It is high controlling, just like a cult. hmmmm.....

no...not a warning from me, rather that is the subject of the "local needs" that i heard was presented via zoom tonight.. beware of apps!

they harped on the idea that only apps approved by the governing body should ever be downloaded or used by jdubs.

they said if they had not been featured in the litterature or specifically recommended by the governing body then jdubs should heed the warning and avoid them.. i guess they are, as we all suspected, very afraid of what the dubs will find out now that they have to use only electronic devices for their "food"..

Sounds like my grandparents and the older ones in the hall. If wt says be careful of apps that look like they come from them, but don't... Well, that means no apps except WT's. The more crazy people get, hopefully the easier it is for people to wake the h up.
