here is an idea i tested.

works at both assemblies and conventions.

i have noticed at the last convention and at my last assembly that when i opened up my wifi setting, tons of hotspots came up for people tethering their tablets to their smart phones.

We never spoke of it again. We have a fair relationship now, if it wasn't for my mother. But that's a whole other story.

Here's a story I'll tell that's not nearly as bad as some of your stories y'all have shared, but it was a turning point, of sorts, in my life.

I spent a year in Bethel and when I got home I was 22 years old. My parents wanted to force a curfew on me. I resented it. I broke the curfew a few times. Sometimes by half an hour, sometimes by hours. It was a constant source of conflict. But I was pissed that I was 22 F-ing years old and I had a GD curfew. WTF, right? I lived on my own for the past year with no curfew. Why was I all of a sudden supposed to have a curfew again?

One night, I went out with some friends they didn't know, and got home like at 2 or 3 am. My dad was livid and was waiting up for me. I calmly told him I wasn't out doing anything wrong and I was 22 years old and I don't need his curfew.

He was screaming at me like I've never heard before, telling me that so long as I was living under his roof, I had to follow his rules, then he backhanded me in the face.

I was shocked. But, choking back tears, I told him if that's how it is, then I will be moving out the next day. He probably thought I wouldn't do it because he thought I had no place to go. But I had to get out of there.

The next day, I packed my sh!t and got out of there. I was fortunate that a friend with resources heard what happened and had a place for me to stay.

I gratefully accepted.

I didn't know TTATT back then, but I sure as hell knew I needed to get out of that situation.

That was a toxic environment. I had to get out. If your situation is even more toxic, please get out and accept help when it is offered!

Last convention, I set my wifi hotspot to "jehovah-is-a-sh!t-weasel"

i always had a problem with the belief that god is allowing all the suffering in this world to go on just to vindicate his name and prove the devil wrong.

i watched this movie on netflix and i can really see why the atheist movement is growing.

it really does a good job of portraying the suffering in some parts of the world.

Are you sure it's evolution that you feel is too far fetched? Or the current hypotheses on abiogenesis?

Evolution is an established scientific theory (scientific theories are hypotheses that have been proven) with a mountain of evidence to back it up.

in short:- tight pants is no longer just a am3 hang up (or is that a hang up on the well hung?

)- brothers who have effeminate body language are flagged up- as are sisters with 'masculine' hair styles or dress- such dress is 'disturbing to the congregation'- the above must heed the (repeated) counsel from the elders...or they get stripped of the right to share on the ministry- however...this will not be revealed (announced) to the congregation.

New Edition of the NWT Bible in the works!

i just noticed in the jw.org site that the watchtower society recently published online the first book of the study bible (matthew), a new edition of the nwt bible.

so far, i'm seeing an overview of the book considered, and explanations of various verses of each chapter throughout.

it is not a full commentary.

what will be the end game whether in a few years, our lifetime, or hundreds + years from now.

bible prophecy did say israel / jews would be scattered then eventually brought back.

russell was declaring that and it was believed before being changed shortly before it happened.

I can vouch for what Morpheus says. We had a guy in one of my congregations that grew a long ZZ top style beard. He was baptized. They removed his service "privileges." No announcement of course, but my Dad told me. (Dad was the PO.)

Kudos to Lloyd for getting this leak.

A Bethelite sent it to him. Do you know how high up you have to be in Bethel to have access to the CO's outline? At the very least, you'd have to be in the service department.

First the letter leak, and now this leak. This mole is very high up indeed.
