  Hi, I'm CoonDawg...and I'm a ....Oh, that's the other meeting place.

  Really, though, I am 6' tall 250lbs. (can you say big boy?) w/ a penchant for wearing bib overalls, and chewing tobacco.

  Am married to a wonderful woman who is a smart cookie, yet still a JW. I have a lovely daughter, 9 and a grandson (by way of my stepdaughter) who is almost 2. As you can see, I drive a truck for a livin' and yes, my CB handle on the door is "CoonDawg"

  Nahhh...I don't hate it. Actually, I don't give a flyin' f*ck at a rollin' donut what they think of me. I'm happy the way I am and I'm not ashamed of who I am. If they want to let a bunch of wrinkled old men tell them who to talk to and about what...that's their problem, not mine.

  I'll treat them as I would anyone else I meet...If they are sh*theads, they'll be treated accordingly...if they are nice and nonjudgemental...hey, welcome.

  my wife and i gave our concent for our youngest daughter to marry so we will be putting on scottish garb and doing our parental thing.

  i grew up in the religion and was baptized at.............supposedly the most important day in our lives and i cannot remember how old i actually was, anyways...... i believe it was 13 or 14. i was never disfellowshipped.

  i have a "worldly" boyfriend whom i love dearly, and i no longer attend the "meetings".

  i do not disagree with the organization entirely; in fact i am not even sure if i disagree with it at all.

  I too was raised as a 3rd generation JW. I admire you having a love w/ your boyfriend that is so strong that you would be willing to give up a way of life for him. I also will echo the thoughts of others. You won't find me picketing in front of assembly halls. For me, I have decided that "religion" is out. I am close to many that are very spiritual, some belonging to denominations, others simply with a personal spirituality. All these ones, I simply tell that if it helps make them feel complete...who am I to criticize one of the sources of their happiness.

  Welcome, and I hope that you will be at ease here more and in the future.

  Hah...my wife goes to the DC's at the "Werner VonBraun"Center in Huntsville, AL. The parking there is terrible. Every time I went with my wife, I would park in the same bank parking lot and pay for parking so I wouldn't have to walk so damn far. The lot was run by one of the local boyscout troops. Hey, I never had to fight for a spot.

  I'm going to sit at home on my fat ass...and probably be typing away on this forum. Then, in honor of Nisan 14...I'll go test drive a Nissan 350ZX...hey, the plant is only about 5 miles from here.

  After that, I'll get drunk...then when wife comes home from koolaid and cheezit meeting...Maybe I'll get laid too.

  I would have had a more normal time in highschool and had a bit more fun. My biggest regret is that of being a self righteous prick and shunning my little sister, Banshee, when she needed me most. She says she holds no ill will towards me, but I still live with the guilt just the same.

  PS....it's a real wake up call when you don't know if the sibling you were closest to is alive or dead for over two years.
