  My wife gets almost 20% off of our monthly bill from Sprint because of her work discounts. Then, her company ponies up almost half the money for the monthlly bill because they want her to have all the communication tools of a smart phone for when she travels on business.

  Crimes committed by JWs

  hey all, i'm still embroiled in my ongoing debate w/a few jw's and now we're on this tangent where they are saying that jws are the most peaceful and law abiding people in comparison to other religious people.

  i said that's not true, there's been many news articles that detail various crimes committed by jws.

  i couldn't find anything right away when i did a google search, so can someone point me to some threads or links that contain recent and past articles of jw's in trouble w/the law or who have committed crimes?.

  the problem with pointing these out to JWs is that they will invariably go to the argument that those criminals are not really JWs and that they were immediately expelled. It's an argument that is designed to distance the JWs from any of these criminals, even if they were active JWs when they committed their crimes.

  I think that's one of the best ideas I've ever heard! I think a bunch there to inflate their attendance counts and then the sudden dance....someone would have to hijack the audio system, but that would not be too hard. The WTS still almost always uses their own stuff so they leave the auditorium audio systems alone.

  Facebook May Defeat Disfellowshipping

  i noticed an ex-witness sister on facebook - smiling, looking happy, expressing nice thoughts for any to read -and she is disfellowshipped!.

  in her extended family, more and more kids and grandkids are leaving the "truth" - and "friending" her!

  it might even be that she now is part of the majority of the extended family.

  i am a christian and have handed out tracts all over my neighborhood,.

  i'm ready to go to a new neighborhood and am trying to determine where to park my car without it getting towed.. is there a jw publication available that covers this kind of info?

  Which sentence is correct? Are both sentences correct??

  Number 2 is the only one that is correct. Because of the "and" joining Bob and his family makes this plural, the verb needs to be consistent with the subject (which is plural because of that pesky "and"). The only way that #1 is correct would be to say "Bob's family IS coming here tonight" because this would change the subject to the singulary "bob's family."

  Sex at 14?

  hello all.... some of you have been following our story from the beginning - and even those of you who haven't should be able to relate to my quandary.... last week my 14 year old son told me he no longer wants to be a jw.

  we laboured over telling his jw dad all week.

  well, on friday night he finally came clean.. but in a bizarre and unexpected twist, after having sex with his girlfriend for the very first time - in his father's home that very afternoon.

  Yep, just be honest with him about your concerns and the risks. Let him know that he has to be smart about his sexual activity. Permissiveness isn't the greatest thing...if he's in a committed relationship (as committed as a 14 year old can be). Make sure he knows you love him and care for him but that this is a big step into the adult world that he thinks he's ready for.

  It's Mothers Day and JW's Are Out In Full Force

  the jw's make a concerted effort to get out in the field service magazing peddling work just to shit all over your day of celebration.. i was out getting mothers day flowers for my roomie this morning, and saw literally gobs and gobs of jw's working the area.. .

  happy mother's day to all you mothers :).
