  Sat. Dist. Conv.--Cracking the whip!

  i have put in my final day at this year's test of posterior endurance---saturday at the district convention, 2001. i took quite a few notes today, because some had specifically asked about saturday's program.

  i hope all will be suitably edified by them.

  do not just listen to bits and pieces of the program, but to the whole thing.

  Demons In Garage Sales or Worse

  well guys, i've done it now!

  our whole little town has a sale every june and this one was no exception.

  while hubby was watching our sale, my oldest daughter and i walked around the neighborhood to see what we could filch out of our neighbors renderings.

  Want a strange story. For years my jw mother in law, went to garage sales about i would say 30 years, everything in that is from a garage sale. Then another sister went to the chruchs for cheese , butter and flour, she stood in long long lines for the goodies went into the churchs and waited inside when they ran out. But after 30 years they are still JW . Oh they has to ask the elders if itwas ok to visit me when I got sick. And even then they were afraid to enter our home. Asses

  when i think back to being in the wtbts i can vividly remember the elders and their weilding of power.. as an adult, and in hindsight, i can now look back in total distaste and disgust at the power and control these men exercised over our lives with 'apparent' enjoyment.. i would like any former or current elders to explain the actual feelings you had when exercising this control.. was it exhilirating?

  or was it painful?.

  i would also like responses from non elders as to how you actually felt on the other end of this control situation.. la donna ana

  There were many good elders when I attended . But there were of them that enjoyed the power trip issued to them. There was one in partcular that stands out . Whenever he cousiled this brother on his talk. he would make this giant of brother cry, he would drive us home and I would ask how was your part etc, bro G said this, and he would stop the car till he got himself under control again. This elder hurt us also in many ways after we left.

  Does anyone have information on this hotel in Brooklyn which they bought. I was called the bonart Im not sure if its the correct spelling. It had garcoyls all along the roof, which I heard people in BHeights found it to be a classic hotel and did not want it to be sold to the JW nojw

  over the last 20 years i have seen christians make the same mistakes over and over again.

  they think that all they have to do is preach and xjws will respond .... doesn't work!

  i have seen very few xjws who have become christians immediately and stayed that way.

  B.... so glad you found someone like this woman to help show you what it really means to be a true christian. She indeed is a great comfort and help to you. Preaching does not make a good christian, but as you can see its her caring and help that showed you what really matters.

  WTB&T DOESN'T USE MIND CONTROL???

  i was stunned to see that one of our new posters doesn't believe that the society uses mind control on its members.

  i think that the fact that they don't see it is evidence of just how deep the control really goes.

  have they never read 1984 by george orwell?

  Who can be called an apostate? I refuse to be called an apostate, I never gave up on God just an org. of men who think and tell their followers that it ruled and run by God. God is far removed from this org. We can see the effect by people leaving and KH closing, attendenc at all time low. Even with the new hall near me I can see a real decline in attendance. Slaves can only take so much before rebelling. Nojw< Shunned but not stopped by elders while driving by. Or driving while disassocited. LOL

  The watchtower most definetely uses a good supply of mind control, especially as I have learned recently about how many innocent people have been abused in the JW organization and have kept it hush from legal authorities. Only the mind control and fear can keep helpless victims from speaking out. What can more important than rporting a crime such as that, but keeping quiet so as not to bring reproach on the org. Reading about something like doesnt make sense at all, but if youre part of the mind control in such an org.then you just cant see it. It makes me boil to wonder we let ourselves be so manipulted and indoctrined with so lies. You are right reason and logic is removed from the JW....nojw
