But it has been a long time over 1O yrs, no one knows or cares, well there was a very brief hello after my cancer oper. Right now I need that support to get better if I ever will. But to wait to perhaps hear the call ofsomeone you loved and they loved you right now thats what I need to heal. It is the awful feeling of knowing that have closed the door on me, I want to close it on them, and let them that I feel that they are the ones I have forsaken because they are a cult with no intent of serving a God of justice , mercy, Love, but serving as slaves an evil organzation intent on destroying instead the mind. Writing the letter as Mommy and think 41 and holding on to it for awhile, why not send it? But I want opinions from people on this board who give opinions without fear, is a religious freedom. They Have already said that they would not attend or funerals, which is nothing new as I had read is common among some of them. At least by sending a letter of DA, it tells we serve god through his word the bible and not through an org. of changing rules from old rules. Why did I start this when I have to leave for my chemo. In a way I want them to know I know I am happy with some things in life and that their way of shunning will never bring anyone back unless you still want to hold on to what family you might have in there, which I don't, as popeye says , "I can stands so much I can stands no more" Well time for me to leave for the hospital, goodday to all. nojw

Hi LDH, yep my little one had to wear little Laura Ingalls dresses also much to to her dismay. Thats the mind set when your are a Jughead Weirdo...oops I meant a Jehovah Witness. When we were in the cult, we very good friends with this sister, she was so proud and invited us to hear her son deliver one of the talks on the Thrusday night meeting. When we arrived we were told he was not allowed to give the talk because he has shaved the back of his head......nojw

JWs and Alcohol Abuse/Addition/Escapism
by LovesDubs inwhen i first started studying in 84 at the ripe ol age of 29, i was told oft and repeatedly that jws did everything in moderation, and nothing sinful or unbiblical.
apparently, like everything else, they have added footnotes to the scriptures that say not to get drunk, as that seems to be their only "legitimate" (read, unregulated) escape from the reality that is the witchtrowel babble and trash sectciety.. there was one elder in my first congregation that reeked of alcohol even first thing in the morning at field service.
i was told by someone "born in the truth" that he had a "body chemistry problem, whereby when he would sweat it would smell like alcohol, and he did sweat profusely...hence the reddenned face.

I too knew of one elder in our hall who drank a bit too much, one of most kindest of humble souls you want to meet. I would work with his wife in service, sometimes pioneer, then back to her house, there was always a bottle of Jim Crow? think thats what it was, I would always look on the counter to see the level in the bottle if it changed much in days we worked together, and it saddened me that it went down too much, but like I said there was no kinder brother I have evermet, sad to say he passed on after we left, wife married another elder in three months.
