Amazing I come to really look forward to your posts, they are truley amazing. It is really amazing how this org. has taken us into never never land and turned us around to their controlled thinking. We have out a good number of years now but it took a long time to get our lives back. Good for Jurs getting into the swing of things. WE just now celebrated our birthdays and I also am wearing a cross. But the fun part is again celebrating christmas, We always loved the decorating etc. What they have done in the name of religion and used in controlling people , well they will have to pay dearly. It took us a real long time to get our lives back, I appreciate your post......nojw

TAKING OUR LIVES BACK #1

in addition to my deceptive jw elders and justice series, i also feel that a series on taking our lives back would be useful, and will bring in a lot of shared thoughts.
one of the things that i became aware of as i left the organization of jehovahs witnesses is all that had been lost, never accomplished, or stolen because of time, money and energy devoted to the interests of the watch tower organization.

I liked reading this too, makes laugh, and lord knows I need them all. When I first starting posting seemed like everyone called it the Borg, but now my husband and I refer to them as the Brooklyn Idiots......nojw

Thanks Nik that was my sat. morn laugh, Joel, Noah told the truth, witness just like wasting their time and those they call on. They hide behind the word truth, honesty was never their best policy. As far as Patio said neither was charity a policy they stood for, I too grew up Catholic, never saw in the JW program.......nojw

the watchtower society certainly permits their flock to hold some unique definitions of common words the rest of us take for granted.

They just built a KH here about a couple of years ago,and you would see all the JW going in service on sat. in all kinds of weather, an now even on good days you hardly see them. I think many of the assembly talks will be getting them out in servce. What used an army walking past my house, no more

Do all Bethelite marriages end up happy?
by freddi ini just wanted to know if anyone out there knew the stats for bethelite marriages ending happily ever after.
whenever i would visit bethel, it seemed as though all the married couples were in it for life.
i know that marriage is supposed to be until death do you part but we all know that things do occur.

Hi freddi. It was mostly the ones who were there for sometime, we would have them over on Sunday for dinner, they loved playing with our daughter, and just confided that they wanted family life and home of their own, many of them did just that, and there are the ones that like grand cental station type of life ....regards nojw

Hi Freddi, you said it yourself its swept under the rug people are human and little petty annoying qualities which can turn into fights, most of the sisters at bethel i knew wanted out and homes of their own, life there is not normal........nojw

Question for any elder/recent ex-elder
by OrangeBlossom inthe elders keep dropping by every couple of saturday's after bookstudy to check on us and try to encourage us back to meetings.
it has worked out that my husband has been gone when they visit so they keep coming back hoping to catch him sometime.
anyway, i told my hubby that we should at least go to the meetings once a week to keep them off our trail, which i went this past thursday night and wouldn't you know it the one elder approached me and mentioned that they still want to sit down with us and go over an article on meeting attendance.

Orange Blossom your story sounds so much like mine did, how can these idots say not to bother with ones who are spiritually weak HELLO stop the madness,its when one is in such a condition that you need HELP, but here we see the lie. Walk away dont go back they owe no money nor you to them LOL. But we stopped going and I think one elder came by, so wrote a letter asking not be bothered again, it worked it might work for you.........nojw
