Here is another problem I have with the 'fractional god' Jody Jedele: As a Bethelite and especially as a member of the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses he has signed a vow of poverty to the Special Full Time Order of Jehovah's Witnesses (Or whatever they call it now). He is not allowed ANY income outside of his Bethel stipend and therefore does not pay federal income tax or pay in to the social security system. He sold 2 of his houses for a total of $375,000.00 in 2019 and retains ownership in HIS NAME of another house in North Carolina worth $304,300.00. Double standard, anyone? Some of you ex-Bethelites here from the old days can remember certain old timers left over from Rutherford's day that were bitter and penniless but stayed because they had no where else to go. If Jody has all his assets in a blind trust and makes a relative the beneficiary, who is to say that that relative does not draw off some of the money and then give it to Jody in cash...no need to let the government know since Jody does not file income tax because of his vow of poverty. Or perhaps he didn't sign the vow of poverty and pays income tax. Either way, something is 'rotten in Denmark'.

According to Ancestry.com Jody has lived at Wallkill, Patterson and two separate addresses in North Carolina from 1992-2020. He was born in October 1970...that would mean that he was 4 years old when I was at Bethel. What a fucking joke and embarrassment to any Jehovah's Witness with one operating brain cell left! This religious charlatan was in diapers when Nathan Knorr was ranting and raving that "there are no new remnant!!!!!" I heard that out of Knorr's mouth on more than one occasion.

2024 Annual Meeting Doctrinal Change
by Listener ina change to their doctrine came from jackson.
this isn't a transcript of his whole speech but i thought i would try and get some of his main speech in writing.. at around 1hr26 minutes he starts talking about some dangerous thinking in feeling there is some wiggle room in regards to the schedule for the gt.
but you see, we need to be careful about what we are thinking about the number of anointed ones left on earth.

Rattigan350, for a Jehovah's Witness apologist you are woefully ignorant of your religion and its history. Memorial partakers went UP in 1995 compared to 1994 not down as you profess in your posting. The Watchtower Online Library would be a good resource for you to use before posting any more nonsense. Reread my quote from the 1961 Watchtower that I posted. Your opinion post goes directly against Jackson's talk.

"Even though the "Great Crowd" is growing larger all the time and the remnant of the "Little Flock" of anointed followers of Christ is getting smaller in numbers..." WT 3/1 pg 149 Where on earth does Jackson think that the rank and file got the idea that the number of anointed would decrease as we got closer to Armageddon?
More whitewashing and historical erasure by Jackson and his Governing Body buffoons. My feelings: Fuck them and the self appointed thrones that they sit upon.

Right now, somewhere in the world, a future member of the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses is developing in his mother's womb.

Two new Governing Body members. What a complete crock of bullshit. Here we are nearly 50 YEARS past the invisible Armageddon of 1975 and the clown show continues unabated. In my day there was gossip that Ray Franz was soooo young at 49 to be on the Governing Body that it was PROOF conclusive that the new system was near since the anointed were dwindling fast. Nathan Knorr was pontificating over and over that "There are no new remnant!" Interestingly enough, much of the current Governing Body is now made up of those 'new remnant'. Heck, I was in Bethel when these guys were in diapers!

1974 Watchtower Prophecies verses Dad’s Prophecies. Who was correct? An old guy reflects on calamity howling.
by Balaamsass2 incalamity howling is always in style with some folks, every year.
1974 was 50 years ago this year!
i was fresh out of high school bright eyed and earnest about all things jw and watchtower.

My best financial advice came when I was a Bethelite in 1976. I was assigned to take an older gentleman and his wife and teenage daughter on tour. He had been a Bethelite in the late 30's and 40's during World War 2. He said the calamity howling was in high gear at Bethel at that time (Any day now!) He asked me if I was a true believer and I told him I had my doubts. He said NOT to listen to the Governing Body as far as my own financial future was concerned. If Armageddon comes it comes...if not you should plan for your future. I semi retired in 2003 and currently have a net worth in the top 10% according to Kiplinger. I'm sure he is long dead but I owe part of my success in life to his wise counsel! If I had listened to the Governing Jokers I probably would still be working full time and just barely getting by. Your worldly dad was correct.

FreeTheMasons...nice to meet you, also! Interestingly enough, I don't necessarily 'feel good about my pills' as you will note from my comments. In my life I have consulted with a Homeopath, a Naturopath, four Chiropractors, and an Osteopath. All nice people and all of whom helped me in one way or another. But I would not engage any of them for something that standardized Allopathic medicine treats successfully. (The Naturopathic physician taught me that as well as the writings of Dr. Andrew Weil) I am sorry that your experiences with the medical community have not always been positive. My brother feels the same way. By the way, I LOVED your anecdote about that SOB HOOD whether it be Sr or Jr!

I don't hate the medical indu$try. Modern allopathic medicine has issues, I agree. However, in the last four years the medical community has saved my life THREE TIMES. I had severe discitis that almost killed me during Covid and then early this year I had a celiac artery aneurysm/dissection and later diverticulitis with a burst liver cyst. The antibiotics fucked me up but without them I would be dead. Sometimes we have to take the bad with the good. Thank you to the Maine Health System and the dedicated doctors that saved my life!
