  Thank you 3 for your responses, plus I agree with what you all have posted! This cultporation is HEINOUS in that they have MASTERMINDED their doctrines and policies to BRING THE WORST OUT in the people who follow them.

  Now you got angry people there. Angry that the End hasn’t come; angry they are needy, etc.

  I've heard this from soooo many dubs who are over and beyond exhausted; however, these are afraid of showing any doubts in public, so they keep their complaints/laments private. But their complaints/laments will, do and have eventually manifest themselves towards others--particularly towards those dubs they don't like nor respect.

  Basically GB writes about stuff they can themselves do.

  This GB--2.0--doesn't really practice what they preach. They are the caliber of leaders who go by the old adage "Don't Do What I Do; Do What I Say So". The members who look at and to them as the sole source for "guidance" have not--probably as of yet and depending upon themselves individually--really thought through the info and asked personal questions about what they've read and heard. These are the dubs who, if they don't use CRITICAL THINKING will continue to be hurt in the long run.

  The best you can do is learn to recognize abusive types early on in the relationship and avoid them to the best of your ability.
  

  This may have to suffice, in that the abusive types (arrogant/narcissistic/envious, etc.) will more than likely be recognized and respected for their insane tenacity and move up the cultporation ladder. For the dubs who are planning their exodus as Faders, it would be more apropos to stay the hell away from these folks and leave the organization at their own pace. Again, thx! 👍

  One of my close PIMO relatives showed me the article and spoke about today's study. She was disturbed concerning the points/statements within it, such as: "So, the more we get to know those in the congregation, the more likely we are to see more of their flaws. Sadly, some have allowed the imperfections of others to stumble them." And the KICKER statement: "We may at times feel the need to approach a fellow believer who has offended us. First, though we do well to ask ourselves such questions as: "Do I have enough facts? Could it be that the offense was not intentional? By approaching the person, will I create a bigger issue than the one I am trying to resolve?" Then she showed me this scripture from the article (Read Prov. 26:30).

  My point is that this REALLY UPSETTED her! What is WT trying to do? It looks as if this cultporation DOESN'T GIVE A DAMN if its members have conflicts and disagreements to flourish and not for anyone to find a RESOLUTION to any issues within. Moreover, this is a FLAWED PERSONAL IDEA from the minds of GB2.0--not for nothing to give credit to GB1.0, but at least 1.0 emphasized and counseled the membership to apply MATTHEW 5: 23, 24 to sort and straighten out any controversies and contentions any dubs may have with each other! DAMN! 🤬

  To: LongHairGirl=> WTF?! If most of a number of congs' BOE are resorting to this type of action, they are really following/abiding by the GB's DESPERATION of getting funds. It's as if they are TRYING TO FORCE the R&F to give coin to them! Also, I heard that there are still ATMs located at CAHs and several Bethell branch offices. Also, some members have given their BOE (Cong Secretaries) router numbers to their bank accounts so that monies can be taken for donations. So, WT can have a hand in SIPHONING capital at any time they please to. I'M SO DAMN GLAD I LEFT THIS CULTPORATION!

  However, from a few ex-dubs (within various blogs and vlogs) WT wants to eventually banish/abolish this platform. Another ex-dub I know was told by a SPIMI relative that COs are now encouraging the membership to stop using it and return to in-person meetings, assemblies, conventions, and memorials. WT is worried about the amount of monies it is not receiving.

  However: Just because dubs attend in person DOESN'T MEAN THAT A GOOD NUMBER OF THEM WILL DONATE! This was also a fact pre-pandemic--there were more than likely a plethora of followers who didn't donate at all (several who have become PIMQ, PIMO, and POMO). If this organization thinks that by having the parishioners come back that they will be able to get more funds, they are no doubt surely mistaken--and regardless of the GUILT TACTICS used from the platform (whether by a brother on the stage or a GBer/HLPR would give a talk as a video)!

  This is very true, especially when a dub missed meetings, assemblies, conventions, and/or memorials. In a couple of former congs, if any of my family members or myself missed more than 2 meetings within 2 months, we were soft-shunned for a few weeks at a time by the SPIMIs. Further, in those congs, if any dubs or VZs (Visitors: People who studied, but decided not to get baptized) didn't COMMENT, these folks were also soft-to-hard shunned by SPIMIs and those dubs who supported these ARROGANT/NARCISSISTIC followers for quite a long time! 😒😫

  Time and time again, WT has committed this same action regarding 1975! The talks--one, in particular, I remember given by Freddie Franz (GB1.0)--accused the R&F of "wanting the end to come in 1975 and the followers being presumptuous"! "You wanted it to come with soooo much anxiety instead of waiting on Jehovah, Our God, for guidance!" and similar remarks very loudly/ audibly announced from the podium at a number of DCs (now called RCs). WT was the one who made that infamous faux pas; so after nothing happened, they passed the buck to the membership instead. #USUALTACTIC! 🤨

  How many new converts do you remember as a JW?

  inspired by the "whats the reason you think jw's are in decline" thread.

  my belief is that almost all the growth, at least in the western world is due to jw's having kids.

  i was a 4th generation jw from birth till about age 20, so the timeframe i can comment on would be my teen years.

  In my childhood cong (from the 1970s to 1990s): Only 9 (2 converted in by my mom and one of my aunts). In a few of my other congs (from the 1990s to early-2000s): Only 4 (1 which a now-POMO cousin "aided in"). Other present exdubs I know only remember less than 15-20 converts while they were in The Borg from the years 1950 to 2010. The cultporation more than likely FUDGED the #s for these years; not surprised though about the data/census changes and the fact that there are not many people wanting to become members of this organization disguised as a religion!

  What`s the reason some of you think JW`s are in decline ?

  from what i can see no such thing is happening.i became a jw in 1960 and remained for about 30 years and the numbers of active jw`s today in the world are far greater than they were back then.. and here in australia the numbers are much higher than they were back then .. so i don`t see that their in decline or have any worries about losing support .. don`t the numbers speak for themselves ?.

  is it just wishful thinking on your part ?.

  A good number of dubs are waiting for The New World to procreate. Many who are of childbearing age are following what the leadership--GB2.0--is and has said about giving all of their time, energy, efforts, and money (of course) to the cultporation. So, some are not even pursuing dating any fellow dub. Further, a number of these are looking forward to climbing the "cultporation ladder" to gain privileges titles, making themselves feel personally better (especially if these have some sort of low-self esteem), and gaining accolades from fellow members in the final analysis (again, especially if these have some sort of low-self esteem). This is shown during the countless ZOOM Meetings I was told about from numerous congs: In some congs where there are 150 publishers, the percentages are 90% are on ZOOM (mainly ages 45 to 80 and beyond) and 10% are In Person (mainly ages 30 to 40). Young ones from ages 17/18 to 29 aren't present; they have vacated and left the Borg! 👏🏻👏🏽👏

  when i was young we used to hear things about how they used to smoke and used to celebrate christmas etc.

  we were just taught that was olden times now jehovah has clarified things.. but i was thinking about the poor older ones who had been in truth for decades who remembered those times, and they must have had doubts.. well look at the changes today in 2023.. we are supposed to just forget about 1975 and all these other things so what about the things happening in our time that we are supposed to feget about .

  we should never forget that following direction to be fully vaccinated was harmful direction.

  These decisions were a "RUTHERFORD THING". Just like the Godforsaken/heinous Blood Ban he instituted (via a QUACK physician), he made erroneous changes from whatever Russell had established initially. It's sad that it was all a POWER PLAY and POWER STRUGGLE which ultimately affected the lives of people who thought they were in a belief system that would benefit their lives and the lives of all mankind. TTAT proved that this is all about: POWER, CONTROL, AND $$$$$$, not about/for welfare plus the well-being of humankind in general!

  The cultporation doesn't want to APPEAR to be a HATEFUL/HATEFILLED organization. They are getting a plethora of backlash plus publicity about their unchristlike policies. Since they are still endeavoring to garner converts, more than likely they have made this move.
