ELDER FINALLY VISITED MY DAD.....

well, over two weeks after my father nearly died thanks to this bone-head cult, he and mom finally got a visit from one of the elders.

i had left work early the other day as my mom had asked me to pick a few things up for them.

so i pull up in their driveway and notice a few people in a car and figured it was the witlesses and sure enough it was.

i am so happy to hear your dad is home and settling in nicely (except for the visitors:)

when my 'wordly' father died,,about 20 yrs ago,,not one person gave me a card,flowers,,nothing

but when an elders wifes father died (he was a jw) she had to have dinners planned/cooked by the sisters for a month

wth????

If You Were Single, Would You Ever Date A Married or Separated Person?

lately, i've seen more than a few unhappy couples go their own way and do their own thing.

one guy i know regularly dates women only on friday nights but comes home to his wife the rest of the time.

my impression is she doesn't want to know what he's doing------just as long as he comes home to her.. i know a state senator's wife who has 2 kids and she's miserable with her politician/lawyer husband but in public they look like the perfect couple.

well, it's that time of the year again!!!.

the november the 1st watchtower is demanding money from the r and f and in no uncertain terms makes it clear that no matter how poor they are they should be giving their money to one of the richest companys in brooklyn, the watchtower bible and tract society!!.

the 'inspiring' article on page 17 is entitled:.

Are there any known JW doctors?

i think there is one at my hospital because of what a coworker said one time in reference to blood doctrine.

i can't imagine them going into medicine with all the time it requires, between school, residency, etc.

Is it appropriate for a stranger to comment on a woman's bruises?

if you saw a woman in public, and said woman was a complete stranger to you, would you feel it's appropriate to discuss it with her (if you're concerned she is in an abusive relationship)?

if you did, would it be appropriate to do it within earshot of others?

and if she offered you an explanation other than abuse, how would you proceed?

well, when my the jw husband beat the cxxx outta me,,,

and i had to do various things,,ie police station,, doctors, mall, there were many who approached me,,,it was bad

the cops called me rocky,,,affectionately,,,not at all in a bad way,,,as in raccoon eyes, it was bad

one time at the mall, i was just sitting on a bench,,and one tends to forget they look so hideousl,,,this mature lady came and sat next to me,,and started to tell me her story,,and how she got out,,etc,,,,,

was actually an act of love from her,,,,,when you have been there, you so want to give some kind of helping hand out to others

just my 2cents
