Hot pastrami on an onion roll and snow cones, walking the halls at intermission and finding boys to talk to, after assembly parties in the late 60's, making fun of the speakers grammar or appearence with my best friend. Other than that, NOTHING!!!

Was There Anything You Actually Enjoyed About Being A JW?
by MrFreeze ini'm sure this question has been raised a lot but it is always good to look back.
the last 5 or 6 years of me being a jw, i did not have a very good go of it.
one thing i actually did enjoy was going to the international convention.

The same Holy Spirit that Blondie mentioned appointed my ex a MS 3 times and an elder once. Guess it has a racy side.

My ex worked on many quick builds and was very well liked. He was funny and outgoing-a real life of the party type guy. I had no idea he was a meth user bc he was always upbeat and energetic from the moment we met. He fooled EVERYONE except the other Bro's who were like him. He worked on a quick-build near the state line and he and the other bro with him went to the BROTHEL then showed up the next day for the WT study like nothing had happened.
When he got home he told me all about how bad the weather had been (sub-zero) and I actually felt sorry for him. I didn't know that he found a creative way to keep warm!

In a complex world where there are seldom easy answers, JW's have an answer for EVERYTHING!!! This keeps them from having to decide or think about tough issues. "We have done all the research for you". Easy schmeezy

In the early 70's a CO came through with the message that if you weren't pioneering you would soon become bird food at the big A. Being in my earnest early 20's I hopped on board and even convinced my 1st husband to sign up with me. Not long after, the society sent out a letter asking for skilled tradesmen to come and build at Patterson.
Hubby was highly skilled and energetic so we sent a letter saying we were pio's, he was a MS, and what his skills were. The reply was that since they had no use at the time for sisters they wouldn't take ME just to get HIM. I was actully releaved since I was pretty sure I never be able to handle Beth- hell life. I was also puzzled that if Armageddon was comming ANY DAY now, why were they starting such a huge building project????? Anyway.....
Time marched on and my ex worked on many many quick-builds. Only after 30 yrs of marriage did I find out that : After working all day at the Quick-build he would take at least one like-minded brother with him to his hotel room where they would drink like fish, take some meth and find a local BROTHEL !!!!!! They kept each others secrets so NO ONE found out until my ex spilled the beans. Wouldn't he have added a lot of flavor at Patterson???? LOL

I think critical witness hit the nail on the head when he said one reason the Watchtower has protected pedos among them is that some were in very high positions including the GB. DNA would definately be the 2ond witness in cases of penetration. No wonder the Watchtower doesn't recommend a rape kit.
