I have a question: Has your ex wife found it hard to find suitable men in the Borg who are also interested in HER? Is she finding it hard to make it on her own financially? Those would be strong motivation for her to pursue you again. She might possibly be toying with leaving the Borg simply to tell you what you want to hear or to have a bigger pool of men to date. How does she act when she doesn't get her own way? Selfish people make lousy spouses.

Years ago there was a sister in hubbies former hall who got tired of all the hypocracy. She started making copies of WT articles, underlined with bright highlighter the points that applied, and placed it under the windshield of the offending Elder or MS during the meeting. Of course, those on the receiving end were embarassed and angry but they had no idea who was doing it.
Talks were given denying or difusing their failings as well as lambasting the person placing the articles. This went on for over 2 years before she was found out and hauled to the back room. She was disfellowshipped for counciling a brother.

A few years ago(when I was active) I called up a good friend of mine who had become inactive , and invited her to attend the Sun meeting with me. I was delighted when she accepted! She had attended a different cong. so I felt she could get a fresh start at mine.
So we meet up at the KH, I'm introducing her to someone when a hairbrained sister comes up to us, raises her voice to my friend and says,"How dare you wear colonge at the KH. Don't you know there are people who have allergys? You should be more considerate."
Needless to say, my friend never attended another meeting.

by itscrap&theyknowit! inmy brother told me about my mom's assembly for january 2012 about november 2011. so did my mom and my older brother.. everybody in my family is jehovah's witness.
nobody is a chistian.. well, this week alone started on sunday: text message, "hey, getting a hotel room... (roach motel: the society has soooo much control over the cult dummies that all that follow this crap stay in the most lowly, bug-infested establishments because you need to humble yourself for when armageddon comes.... bull sh**!!!
) ...so, you and the kids can come to swim in the roach motel pool and get a free roach motel dinner.

by Terry inthis is an important topic for me.. ever since i was a kid i was interested in self-improvement.. it was the result of my grandfather, surely.. .
here is what my grandad (i called him, paw paw) would do to challenge me.. .
he knew kids always need money to buy "stuff" and go places and do things.

Terry, thanks for sending this message incouraging self-improvement. It's only been a few months since I left the WT$ feeling like a worthless piece of sh!t. It takes work to reframe my thoughts and deal with the depression that sets in after realizing my whole life was wasted.

Sherlock Holmes and the Kingdom Hall...
by TimeBandit inso last night as the wife and i were on our way to the movie theater (went to see the new sherlock holes movie) we passed by the kingdom hall.
since thursday is a meeting night the kh parking lot was packed.
i couldn't help but grin at the thought that those chumps were sitting in there listening to such boring shit in those uncomfortable meeting clothes, and i was about to have a great time seeing a fun and entertaining movie, eating pop corn and sipping a soft drink.

Thanks for your post TimeBandit, It made me smile. The KHs in our area are all in secluded neighborhoods so that we would have to drive far out of our way to pass them. It's good to be reminded of the many "perks" of leaving the WT$.

Do you feel sorry for those that are still in.
by jam inat one time i felt my jw famliy members hated me.

There are some excellent answers here. Now that I am mentally free, I feel more compassion for ALL disadantaged people inside and out-particually children.
For me it boils down to nice people vs. pious ones. I have no pity for those with superior attitudes ,those who are happy, or hipocrits. I save my pity for those whose spirit is broken like a beaten horse, who because of FEAR of DISPLEASING GOD do what they are told by the WT$. I also feel for those who are trapped in for the sake of close family.
