what.....who said only God can judge you??....now we are complaining that the dubs are saying this too?..i think we all need to make up our minds.first..they are to judgemental in determining who will survive and now we complain because they/we say that God will do the judging?...guess what else is creepy....something that the dubs teach that the mormons teach also...there is a power greater than mortal man...

2. the first visit had been a game where i asked questions and they wriggled about a bit so as not to address them -- it brought back dub memories, i'm telling you.. it went like this.... who will survive the world's judgement day?

Who was the strangest JW you ever met?
by Preston ini knew a presiding overseer in the congregation i attened who was possibly the strangest person i ever met.
he took a rigorous position toward the society's view on everything!!!
he was against many things ....including....science fiction, fantasy, the x-files, disneyland, cartoons and football.

I have the winner of all winners.........this guy was at bethel for 10+ years....the first time i encountered him in the 360 building i thought i let a "worldly" person in..i informed the desk but they said he was in fact a bro...he was skinny with grey hair...anyway...he never spoke to anyone, never smile, and was trying to go to the Chinese convention. He was in his 40's and not an elder...which is kinda strange, this guy would sleep in the Boiler Room of the 360 building instead of sleeping in his own room, when doing watchmens the guy would get the crap scared out of them because this guy would be standing in the total dark for no reason, in the boiler room. He was also caught standing in the shower with rain gear...my guess is the reason they never gave this freak the boot is because he had a boiler license from NY state.

if your talk was based on the proclaimers book, how is it that you covered the subject regarding the change in "this generation"..this "new light" wasn't covered until a year or two after the publication of the book.

a few years ago, an older sister's df'd son died of aids in sf.
when she and her unbeliever husband returned from the funeral, she said "he is in jehovah's hands.

It seems that the older sister of a few years ago was right. It is in Jehovahs hands. For example. say a df'd person has been "repentant" and has "regained" approval by Jehovah. Yet the elders in the cong. dont re-instatement, because they are "imperfect" men..and the end comes...do you think Jehovah needs to wait for an announcement??
As in the case with a person who dies or doesnt accept the "truth". The Society...oops..we don't say that anymore..the Jdubs say that only Jehovah is the one who determines who lives and who dies. This is sort of a safety net for them.
A sister in my congergations father recently died. The whole family was in the truth. The mother was beginning to study...anyway..to make a long story short...we got a big-wig from Bethel Headquarters to give the funeral talk.....not gb..but big wig..he said that we can not grasp Jehovahs love and it was a matter of how jehovah read his heart.

Wondering whether or not to join the Air Force
by Patrick_Ryan ini'm new here and i have some questions about joining the air force or not.
i'm 21 years old, i was raised as a jehovah's witness but stopped going when i was 13 because i was a kid and thought it was boring (like school).
even after i quit going i still done things that were right or i tried to still live by what i was taught and i'm greatful that i was raised that way because it kept me out of a lot of trouble and made me who i am today.

Why would you ever want to join an org. that tell you what time to get up, tells you what you will eat, shows you how to make your bed, how to organize (sp?) your room, gives you a work assignment that you would probably not want, and makes you shower with a bunch of other very bizarre men......wait..wait ...were we talking about Bethel or the Air Force
