  Dateline Aftermath

  the result of the airing of the dateline program has been very positive.

  dateline program will no doubt air again in reruns and may get further coverage soon.

  there have been many mixed emotions as a result of this program.

  Thanks for the update Bill,we all very much want to be kept up to date.You know it's just so sad, a boy in front of the congregation
  giving a talk speaks out to the congregation and the society on this
  terrible event,he sees it a small boy surely others can.

  What's the one thing you miss about the WTS?

  there are times when ilook back fondly on my days in the witnesses, especially when i think on the congregation get togethers we would have every once in awhile (not too often) people from our hall and sometimes others would show up (not too many) and good times were had by all.

  this is how the schedule usually went.. 8pm: arrive at the community centre.

  8:05pm: scope the room.

  how many of you are now atheists or agnostics?

  how many of you have actually converted to another organized religion?

  personally i find myself doubting anything and everything i learned about the bible and religion.

  I had recently considered getting reinstated but when I go I find myself getting a little irritated.So I think now I'm going to read
  crisis of conscience and educate myself more,I know I could never go
  to another religion.

  all right, i'm still a newbie, but here's a great way for me to do some research: a survey!.

  a. born into "the truth" (as the jws put it.).

  b. joined between ages 4-12. c. joined between ages 13-21. d. joined after the age of 22.

  5 Some college no degree or diploma,also a trade school-diploma.No new
  ed since other than my own research.
  6 The isolation they put you in from the outside world,it really stunts a person socially.
  7 I was supposed to marry a black sister,I am white.My friends had no
  problem about it,but her mother made the statement "what about my black grandchildren" that should say it all.Well I do think there are
  divisions on the matter,but I also think it depends on where you live.
  I was in Alaska at the time and before that in Mississippi,so you could easily see the cultural differences.

  i can't find the words that would express how grateful i am for all the support, not only for all of you to back me on the dateline show but for my trial as well.

  i don't think i would have had the courage to go through the trauma if it wasn't for all your prayers and encouragement.

  dateline was a huge help for many and i know this because i have recieved quite a few calls, one from a current jdub who wants out for the safety of his 16 month old baby, i was so excited that he lifted the veil and saw it for the pure truth that it was.

  i e-mailed bill yesterday about his hearing and he said that after the.

  elders found out that he would be coming with about 20 other witnesses.

  the canceled the meeting and then tried to give him a 24 hour notice.

  Thanks,I would really like to know what new with the hearing.I think
  this will have alot of bearing on how other members will view the
  orginization now.I think if he is DF'D there will be alot of people
  leaving.
