Did anyone else think that Sept 11 was Armageddon?

i was in washington at the time (i work for the govt) when the attack occurred.

i had a massive panic attack at first and then steeled myself and worked through the night as part of our emergency response team.. i was embarassed by my reaction.

did anyone else have a similar experience?

No, but I ahd wondered how many jw's dropped what they were doing and ran to the nearest kingdom hall.lol

In Your Opinion, What Is The Purpose Of This Board?

my understanding is that this board can serve as a place to come so that jw's and ex-jw's can get together to discuss mostly, jw issues as well as matters such as our likes and dislikes of a non-religious nature.

since there are so many posters here, could you please express what you think this place is for?

Dansk, I feel your pain, but the one thing I would go to one for is my fathers funeral. I know I haven't seen or talked to him in 13 years but I still love him and would want him to know that I do....damn the other people there if they can't get that through their thick skulls!

being nice gets your heart broken, gets you walked all over, and taken advantage of.

I'm so sorry,I don't know how long you have been married or if there are children, but there is so much more out there. It's difficult I know, but maybe the choice of wheather to stay or go needs to be made, who wants to live with someone who will always be on your back?

The stress is great and we have all had our days. Please talk to us and let us help if we can.

watching the news is disturbing, there just seems to be so little compassion or empathy.

most of us are so spoiled and we don't even realize it!

ok i wonder whose sitting at home hurting over something that has been said to them on here?

i wonder whose been totally critisised for good intentions and harmless threads or posts?

what happened to the ability to discuss things like an adult instead of diving in and making out the person who began the thread was just trying to cause trouble?
