  fpr those who want to know what "cut the pickle tickle tickle" is

  ok, so i had a few people ask what "cut the pickle tickle tickle" is, so here it is and i encourage all of you to do it to all the little ones who you love!!!

  ok, so you take your two index fingers and put them together (like your pointing, only do with both fingers pointing at each other and have them touch in the middle) tell the child to "cut the pickle" and they take their hand and "cut" your two fingers apart.

  when they do, tickle the living heck out of them!!!

  Pledge of Allegiance

  south africa is considering bringing in a "pledge" that kids in school will repeat each day.

  we never had such a thing as kids growing up, but when the national anthem was sung, we always had to stay seated and not participate.

  i remember always hearing about flag saluting in other countries.

  Like you I despised being the outcast when I was younger. Now I am VERY patriotic toward CANADA only (born and raised in the usa and do not consider it my real home, long boring story). Now I am all about country. Hell my 3 year old daughter sings the national anthem with me on hockey night. I went to a hockey game a little bit ago with my witness FIL. When the anthems came on, he made it obvious that he was not going to sit there whilst they were playing, so I said the hell with it and when O Canada was sung I sung it loud and proud. Now it is an honour to be able to sing the anthems (o Canada and God save the Queen)

  Isn't it ironic

  i used to regularly get calls from my mom (she rarely confronted me face to face for some reason) about my leaving "da troof" and most often, her lectures were met with my silence - i didnt have the confidence to answer her back as to why i left and refused to return.

  now - almost 7 months are regularly reading and posting on jwd, i am angry and just itching for an opportunity for me to tell her what i have learned and discovered.

  the relief at discovering that i wasn't alone is indescribable!

  Bah! This thing will kill you, that thing will kill you. This thing is bad for you, that thing is bad for you. Don't do this and don't eat that. were the good ol government and we KNOW what is good for you and we require you to only be fed these bollocks one sided studies through our controlled mass media. I am telling you the only reason I am not smoking right now, is not because I believe one single word of what the gubment and the gubment biased media tells me it is bad, it is because it is so bloody expensive here in Canada. Same thing goes for this study, piss on it.

  how long before something happened (i:e 9/11) before you stopped thinking the big a was coming??.

  i read 7 news papers a week it took me a long time to read about some big bad event without thinking this is it the big a is about to happen now i read it for what it is.. what about you.

  Out of the JW mindset is one thing, not thinking Armageddon coming is entirely different. I do not think I will ever be totally out of the JW mindset to some minute degree. The Armageddon thing is all bullocks and I guess I figured that out a few years ago when I was researching religion. It is abundantly clear that Armageddon and jesus returning and the invisible sky captain(god) is all an open ended terroristic threat that has been around since day 1 with ALL organized religion to keep weak minded sheeple in check.

  That was the first I seen or heard of that video. It was OK. It would have been tonnes better if you could see the peoples reaction around her. All in all though that took some balls.

  I left after 9 years ...

  i just disassociated myself after nine long years in the wtbts after researching the history of the wtbts and its founders and their lies, false prophecies and mind-control doctrines.

  read my profile for more about that.

  anyway, i'm glad there is a wonderful support group for those who have escaped the grasp of the wtbts and enjoy life again without the constant fear that the wtbts instills at every meeting.

  I totally am in the same boat. I have the tendency to settle on mediocrity because that is how I am programmed. My dad made pretty damn good money but he was one of those types that liked to give a LOT of money to the wtbs at the expense of nice things for him and nice things for the family. I am trying to break out of this mindset but it is hard. But alas I will eventually.
