I'm to young to have experienced any of the 10-12 hr days. I can only imagine how horrible it must of been, I can't even stomach 1 hr of that nonsense anymore. But I think our past has the ability to make us stronger and more resilient human beings. But I do agree it must of been pure torture. -

Did you participate in a Drama?
by Hecce ini am bringing this up because even it was a lot of work, for the majority of the friends this was a rewarding experience.
camaraderie, joking, costumes, props and when the time came the celebrity status of being in the drama.. back in the 50s and 60s, conventions could be as long as 8 days and from about 1966 the dramas became an integral part of the program.
we had one per day and the brothers looked forward to their presentation.

Helped out in the Potiphar and Joseph Drama, I believe it was 2013, I was waking up at the time and it was a very difficult thing to be a part of, It was like living in a fantasy, nobody was real to me anymore, people were fake, elders were pea cocking there brilliant colors so everyone could see there worth, the prominent elder family's were in the drama, some living double lives. I was just a spectator with skills, it really felt like The Twilight Zone.
Beyond it is another dimension—a dimension of sound, a dimension of sight, a dimension of mind. You're moving into a land of both shadow and substance, of things and ideas. You've just crossed over into the Twilight Zone.
Because of my building skills I was asked to help with the props and stage. We drove all the props and costumes to the Convention, my friends truck and trailer broke down on the way to the convention and the CO was pissed, his true self came out, it was quit the sight to see. I think he was worried about answering to the DO about the whole fiasco. We recovered and the show went on. One thing I remember is how I felt through the whole thing, I was seeing the lies and manipulation of the whole organisation and the drama was part of there arsenal, I was troubled contributing to there propaganda and lies. After this my fade became apparent and now i'm involved in a different drama called "unplugged"

Out on Facebook
by disillusioned 2 ini am just venting because my sister has put on facebook that i am no longer "in the truth"!
i have kept a very low profile for years and have silently faded.
many witnesses i have bumped into are very friendly towards me, some from other congregations may not even be aware that i dont go anymore.

It's a form of mental castigation, taught to them by there ruthless leaders. You either return or we will make you look mentally diseased. -

Awww, you "love and miss us"? Really? Then why ignore us?
by stuckinarut2 inso we received the obligatory "shoved under the door" memorial invitation and "return to jehovah" brochure the other week.
it also had a hand written note from two elders saying "we love and miss you" etc.... so why then when one of them saw us at the grocery store, did he pretend to not see us and then ignore and quickly walk away?.
the sincerity is wonderful..... dont get me wrong, we dont want any attention from them, but it's an interesting observation anyway.....

You unlock this door with the key of imagination. Beyond it is another dimension—a dimension of sound, a dimension of sight, a dimension of mind. You're moving into a land of both shadow and substance, of things and ideas. You've just crossed over into the Twilight Zone. -

Every religion has its control mechanism's, just like Catholics have Hell, JW's use Armageddon. With out these tactics people would be living normal lives. Relax and know these are religious mind control residual left on your brain. I went through the same thing, its a slow process to unlearn. -

Down in My area, usually back overfill rooms are full, standing room only. Back book counter, people standing. This year both back rooms empty lights off. No one standing, main auditorium plenty of open chairs. First time back to the hall in about 3 months. We even had a Bethel speaker, go figure. -

Yes you are right nothing illegal was done and it was probably his right to make a statement and then leave. But if you are really trying to help others, this is a one time pop. Then all the negativity is heaped upon your motives and actions, so who benefits? The person creating the disturbance might of gotten something out of it but the rest are left in bewilderment and disgust.
The availability and effectiveness to be able to reason with a person with hints and questions about there faith, now that's what the GB fears because its effective. Posting on the internet is effective its where it all happened for me. Commenting on a Facebook or Instagram post about the best life ever hashtag, that's where you give them a gem to ponder, "Effective". I read stuff on amazon reviews of all places and left thinking about what was said, "Effective." Creating a disturbance at a peaceful gathering only makes you look disturbed. Creative but not effective.

Confused: What does the overlapping generation really mean?
by MicaSmith incan someone help me understand how the wt came up with the overlapping generation theory?
i just don't understand it even though i read the information several times.
it's bewildering.

The overlapping generation nonsense is made up to cover up a lie a really big lie, the 1914 fiasco. The rank and file are forced to accept it, don't need to understand it. Its not logical its not rational, its ridicules. That's why they want the rank and file to remain uneducated so there easier fooled and scammed.
This is how you beat and fleece a sheep.

Interesting, Here is the greatest man that ever lived but never wrote a word about the most important thing in life. He, being perfect and the son of God had all the answers, for example: What happens to us when we die? No real clear understanding to this day. Why does God allow evil? Who are the 144,000 are they the mediator's for mankind? Are they really the ones only to partake in the memorial and the rest of us watch? Who is the faithful and discrete slave? is it a parable or was there meaning and who would it be? This Generation would not pass away? Abstaining from blood mandate? So many thing he could of written about the smartest guy in the room and never laid pen on paper, Why?
