  Islam 'penetrates' Europe.

  scare mongering videos abound, but this one is a bit better than average.

  what they forecast may well happen given another 3-4 generations.

  a muslim leader was sayign the same thing here in sydney yesterday.. .

  Faders????

  ok so i have been actively fading but my question to all you faders with family.

  if one just fades doesn't it just look like to your kids that you have just become spiritually weak?

  i mean aren't they my kids just going to ask their mother why i'm not going in time, and that will give her a chance to explain things the way she wants?

  ok so i have been actively fading but my question to all you faders with family.

  When I did my fade 11 yrs ago I realized that being a 'spiritual weakling' was the best option.

  That went very against my grain. But, it's what I did.

  At about 5'ish years into my fade... I quit caring and became vocal. Nobody cared anymore. (I don't have anybody in my household going to the KH though).

  I discovered TTATT sping of '01. After 9/11 I remember thinking that if JW's were told by the society on any given sunday 'it's not just God's war anymore' and they armed themselves... presto... you'd have something looking like this. In other words, JW's are one WT away from being Al-Qaeda. I've not really changed my mind on this.

  People call this fearmongering... how can this not be upsetting? Will Western Europes' triumphs in freedom, ideology, and democracy be looked back on as a brief golden age before another dark age?

  Seriously, I'm asking... if somebody has a 'nah, nothing to worry about, and this is why....' please do tell.

  How will the WT spin China???

  i read an article this morning on how china is quickly reaching even footing with the united states in all aspects; military, economic etc.

  the article continued saying how it was imperative that the united states recognize that it would be forced to behave accordingly or risk ddestabilizing the world.

  another interesting statement was made that sooner rather than later the u.s. would become the 2nd largest economy falling behind china.

  Further to that, I read an article on BBC online about China approx 1/2yr ago. It did make me think the whole 'China's taking over soon' was a bit overstated. It was this experiment where families would empty out their homes of all its contents and have a photo taken with them and their stuff in front of their house. Some of those pictures looked really bad.

  If they can make people still come to meetings after 'Overlapping Generations' they can do anything. This doesn't even touch the sides.

  As far as China taking lead spot... I can think of a lot worse.. a whole lot worse.

  my jw friend of 20 years, the first one i ever met, the one who got me into jwism in the first place, unfriended me from facebook without explanation.

  other jws who have unfriended me at least called me names (apostate) and told me they were unfriending me, but they were no loss.

  but someone who's been your friend since you were 13...and no explanation...i'd think 20 years- 20 years!

  Keep acting humble. You've already invested a year. Once you don't come to meetings after being reinstated you'll make them seem foolish publically... not just this bs game they're playing with you in private. More importantly, as Billy said, you'll have your family.

  i have some family and friends still in the organization.

  i don't actively seek updates - my lovely contacts provide me with them unsolicited.

  so far the updates have been reliable and confirmed sooner or later by subsequent developments.

  mP - Perhaps the answer is also related to the fact its bloody hard to keep writing books.

  They did seem to be suffering from writer's block if you look at how many times the Revelation book was studied. I'm so glad I left before going over it more than once (actually I think I did it twice...).

  How many times was that book covered?
