You got some good advice above. Let me add what I have learned over the years.

No one has any guarantees about what comes after death so why worry about something you can do nothing about.

Enjoy your life NOW. Go out and smell the roses NOW.
Go play with your child NOW.
Enjoy all that life has to offer NOW and let tomorrow take care of itself.

Now some of the selfrightous JDubs and tree huggers will no doubt accuse me of doing drugs and getting drunk. Wrong! I do none of these things but I enjoy life every day. I don't need to wait for my god to destroy 6 000 000 000 people to make me happy.

You have only ONE guarateed life, make the most of it.

I just do not understand........

maybe it's just me but, why is it that "christians" seem to be the most judgmental, unforgiving, hard hearted people?.

all my life for some reason or other, i have believed in god and jesus, but throughout history, and even in our time.

the cruelest acts have been done in the name of god.. i see "christians" claim they have love of their fellow man, but their actions (and words) are to the contrary.

You are well on the way to the learnig the real truth.

Unfortunatel many of us only find out these things after wasting many many years trying to serve god then we find out all along we were serving those who run things.

Many people find they need to belong somewhere. To be wanted and needed and appreciated. As a JDub I was always taught that people of the world were no good. Then I got babtized and found out that JDubs only love you so long as you fly in formation. Start thinking for yourself or disagreeing with the big boys in Brookly and you are in BIG trouble.

Soon your "friends" will start to gossip behind your back. Make up little stories, they don't have to be true. Next thing you know you are the scum of the earth.

By their fruits you will know them Christ said when talking about his followers. It was their fruitage which made me realise that these people are not followers of Christ but followers of those pathetic old farts in Paterson/Brooklyn. In other words a money making cult. YOUR money not mine.

If you look for the good in people you will find good people. There are just as many good people in the world as there are good people in the "truth(TM)" They just don't go shouting it from the roof tops and keep congratulating each other on how holy they are.

WTBTS annual meeting this Saturday

the wtbts annual meeting is this saturday (if i recall correctly), and so today (friday) is the last day for the prescient among us to publicly offer our speculations, and if available, inside knowledge as to what new turdlets will be emitted from "god's only true channel".. i will repeat my main guess here and write that we will see a number of organizational changes that have the effect, which has been seen before, of moving assets closer to brooklyn while moving liabilities to the circuit and congregational levels for protective compartmentalization.. anyway, here is your last opportunity to offer your views before the big day.

so feel free to post your comments to this thread; you too can be a cassandra or a tiresias or a fred the wonder cat.. well, skip the last one.

You are right though about the agenta. More damage control, more protecting of assets and more removing themselves from litigation.

Elders will cop the blame and will be facing the firing line in cases of slander, childmplestation, etc.

need some help from you guys.. i am a divorced jw (ex was never baptized) free to remarry.

i have been seeing a wonderfull christian woman and have moved in with her.

we plan to marry in the spring.

Here is how it works

They expect you to hang yourself so don't tell them anything and don't give them the amunition they are looking for.

The first thing YOU ask is

What are you accusing me off and who is the accuser? Who are the witnesses.

They will try and wheezel out of actually accusing you of anything and they certainly will avoid pointing out the accuser and his witnesses.

If they don't actually accuse you of anything then get up and say well then there is nothing to talk about, everything is under control. I have done nothing wrong. You had no cause to form a judicial commite, Goodbye.

If they do accuse you, and I strongly doubt they will, deny everything and make them provide the proof.

Mention that you possibly may take legal action against them personally AND the Society. ( make sure you include the Society) if they slander you by speading rumours and inuendoes even indirectly by DFing you. Just DFing you is slander if they have no proof of any wrong doing.

I have faced these Gestapo types and I have beaten them at their own game. They tried to DF me and lost big time.

YOU must be in control. If you don't want to answer a question then don't. That is what they do if you ask a question and they know the answer will show the Society in a bad light.

Don't play their game their way.

You can win if you remain calm and in control. Tell them as little as possible. Preferably nothing at all. Everything you say will be used to hang your balls from the yardarm.

here in oz the graphic pictures via cnn have brought us up to the minute with the horrific scenes you guys in the us are experiencing.

The world is expecting us take these people into our country and let them run loose. Can you believe these "Refugees" took the Australian government to court and won. Now the court ruled these people are to be set down on the Australian mainland.

How did these Refugees aford to pay for these lawyers?
How did these lawyers get immediate acces to the court system while the average Aussie hast to wait years for his court case to be heard?
The government spends $25AUS a day on each of our pensioners and $120AUS on each invader.
The Australian govenment is closing hospital beds and opening more detention centres.

Something is very very wrong. Who is pulling the strings to the detriment to ordinary hardworking taxpaying citicens of the world?

Now before all you bleeding hearts cry out.

It costs $6500 US to be ferried into Australia from Afganistan.
Australia is the cheapest at the moment.

Most ordinary Afganies wouldn't see $1000 in a whole year. These people who want to enter Australia via the back door have the money to come in through the front door.

All you bleeding hearts who say Australia should take these boat people , are you still keen to take some of these Muslims yourself?

Why does it always take a huge disaster before people open their eyes?

Austinmer/Bulli KH Burns! Arson?

the kingdom hall occupied by the bulli and austinmer congregations burned last week, and there are rumours that it was arson.

can anyone shed any light on this?

The Casula Kingdoom Hall went in a more spectacular fashion. They are still looking to thank someone for that one.

Unfortunatly some Watchtower clones entered the new system prematurely.

How would you feel iving in a city where a murder or two a night is the norm? Hearing gunshot at night is not unusual? You actually expect to have your car stolen you just don't know when? To dispose of your car and claim insurance you only need to park your car at a railwaystation.

Oh yes it is always easy to give advice to others so long as you don't have to deal with the problem yourself.

Amazing isn't it the world always has solutions for other countries problems so long as they don't have to do anything to help with the problem. Cheap advice is exactly that.

How many of these Refugees can I send to you to look after? Stephanus is taking 6. Can I put you down for 6 too? All you have to do is clothe them, feed them, house them, educate them and make sure they are ready to leave when they are found not to be refugees.

Talk is cheap put your money where your mouth is. It is quite obvious you don't have to pay for these people with your taxes and have to deal with the problems.
