I like The Searcher's comment
"The judgement starts first with the house of God."
and how long will it last?
and who will come after that, yahweh, as the old testament says or jesus, as the new testament says?
the scriptures say he'll come to the mount of olives, but surely that's a spiritual mount of olives.

at a recent meeting there was a watchtower article about life in paradise.
they were saying that even when witnesses finally get there they will still be under the strict instructions from the elders and gb.
they may be given jobs that they will find unpleasant, also the preaching work will be ongoing because of all the resurrected people who need to learn about why they are given another chance.
Thanks LifesNotOver and blondie for your time and detailed explanation. I can understand why you would not want go through all that with householders.
There are clearly a lot of areas which are avoided in discussions at the door unless the householder understands the doctrine and presses for more details.

Thanks for the clarification, LifesNotOver.
I have never been a JW so I only know what I hear when they come to the door.
So, who do they say is going to be resurrected? Just dead JW's who have not gone to heaven?
I'm sure I have been told that children and those who have never heard of JW's will be resurrected.
if so wouldn't it be funny to write a letter to your councilman, mayor, congressman, senator and.
other government officials why jw's don't vote.
most will say because i'am told.
How about:
Romans 13v1 says "The powers that be are ordained by God"
John 19 v 10,11
1 Peter 2 v 13,14
and there are more in a similar vein.
when i found out what was in store for those with the heavenly hope, no thank you.
i love you jehovah.
but i also love the fruits here on earth.
Thanks, Blondie. That thinking sounds like it has been strongly influenced by Greek mythology.
I also appreciate Atomant's comment

I read Blondie's comment above, but don't know how to copy it down here.
If angels can be faithful then go bad, and there is war in heaven, is heaven any better than here and now?
Who would want to go there?

I really don't understand it. Kill everyone, then resurrect them and convert them. If they don't want to listen to JW's now, why should they afterwards? They like the lives they have now.
Then, if they are to live on earth for ever and have children, what happens when the earth is full of people and can't support any more?
and they start delivering their message of judgment?
what do you think will happen when they start knocking on doors and telling people that their families will be killed in armageddon because they did not believed in jehovah.
i'm curious how people will react.
People will think they are mad.
Have they decided when it is going to happen?
situation is, i'll never return to the wt.
my family with never leave the wt.. depending on who you ask you'll get the following answers when you ask about me:.
my family: he's confused.
you could ask her how your daughter will feel when she is a couple of years older and notices how you are treated.
if all life was truly random, then what happened that allowed humans to it's current intelligent state, do you think non humans could and will reach that in the future?
.
I think they are already very intelligent. Could you build a nest just using your mouth? They don't have the option of discussing techniques or reading up on the subject.
