Report on news coverage in DALLAS!!!!
by Jesika inwell, all i can say is wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
they have been preparing everyone by way on tv and radio on the sexual abuse in the jw religion.
they had a small piece on the 6 o'clock news with a small interview with bill bowen.

I just sent an e-mail to the reporter. bill sent her e-mail address in his info letter he sends out. I told some of my own stroy and backed up everything that was said in the TV report. i thanked them for bringing this to the public attention and closed with the alarming fact that a child molester or rapist could be coming to your door to talk to u about the bible.
thank u jess for puttng yourself on the line. u are helping another little girl/boy somewhere .

this was by far the best coverage i think SL/child molestation isssue has gotten. it was very damning for jw. Jess and the other woman were very compeling and sincere. They had the atty. kimberely norris on there. They showed the scriptures about the 2 witness rule. it was awesome.It was shown on chnnel 8 -a very popular news channel. my therapist called right as it started to tell me to watch it-i already of course knew about it. Jess it know ithis is hard for u, with your family here and all. U are going to need all of us now-stay close.

very true. i would have never listened to doctrine and "apostate" stuff, but most jw are aware of lack of love, and a lot have some sad stories. My boys got to me by playing the love card, and the grand kids card. it works.

Discussion With My Dad...Ended Badly.
by Valis insome of you may know that my parents were expected for "dinner" on thanksgiving day.
well i really don't think its going to happen now.
i called my dad last night becuase my mother, now visiting my kids in south texas and bringing them here to see me, said they had "stuff to do on thursday".

Valis, if your mom and dad are typical jw, they will not listen to anything negitive about Org.(doctrines) The way my boys got me to doubt the jw is by telling me a religion should not break up a family. And i knew they were rijght. It took a while, but i stopped going to meeting and wanting to spend sunday with my grandkids. More kids have gotten their parents out of org than u can imagine.
