  The point is- I did not wish for the holier than thou elder to be disgraced. It is more or less as others say-karma. He's an jerk and it was bound to happen. It disgraced him that his daughter moved in with a boy. I could have cared less- that is his own petty morality, but it was nice to see him embarrassed. it did not help him- he felt angry at all the sinners who may have enticed his dear daughter. sigh

  My kids told me the elders kids were among the foremost party animals.

  so much for all being equal in jw loving org.

  money talks everything else walks.

  rich kids buy drugs, poor kids steal them.

  yes warlock- i did have a bit of satisfaction seeing one daughter of an loud mouth, critical , morally superior prominent elder shack up with a boy and flaunt it to the world. ( what now loudmouth?) lol at him.

  you can have secrets or you can have kids.

  Of Pedophelia and False Positives

  ok, something has been bugging me recently, so please forgive meas i play devil's advocate for a moment.

  child abuse of any type is horrific, and when it is sexual innature it can cause unimaginably cruel and life-long damage.i think we can all agree on that.

  however, in the past irreparable damage to people's lives havealso been caused by accusations of child abuse that turnedout to be baseless... families are torn apart, trust is shredded, reputations ruined, all because a child misunderstood something, or fabricated a story to get attention, or was pressured by paranoid and possibly abused adults into remembering things that never happened.

  I won't say too much- so may others can say things so more eloquently-but will say this. If you are accused of a crime or some major violation at work- they suspend you , perhaps with pay until the matter has been cleared up.

  The problem is if you have a position in the org- you have access to children and women. If you have been accused you should not be allowed to continue until the matter has been resolved. that is not done- in fact the accused is given more protection than the possible victim . Rapists and child molesters roaming free in the org among children and women.

  I too think the pendulum may have swung too far in one direction, but we have to protect children. It is our duty.

  i clicked on that and found out just what you did. I stopped however b/c I'd done a test like that before and ended up with a bunch of spam. look out, the one i did a year or so ago created an ebay account for me that i had to contact someone to have "frozen" .

  It was a scary experience.

  I haven't read all replies and don't know the title, but the sun was so hot the earth burned up earth. a woman in an apartment was the central character.

  the William shatner one was huge, and also i recall the one where everyone looked like pigs and a beautiful woman and handsome man were considered hideous.

  Twilight zone was wonderful. I was so terrified of it as a kid, we were told it was demonic. but we watched it anyway. I also recall one where an old woman is getting phone calls and they trace it to a graveyard. I believe it was her husband who was killed in an accident many years before. Often on holidays they have a "zoneathon" and show all twilight zone all the time for the day. They also do that with star trek.

  Tales from the Crypt was good too.

  ....and black little number tomorrow - with matching "smalls" i don't usually dress up for that day but since i'm feeling good about myself, feeling a little naughty i'm going to be putting on the clingy-ish number.

  why not.

  i'm even going to be dishing out heart candy to everyone in the office.. a superficial topic sure but if you're feeling good why not tell the world..

  I wore an appropriate red dress today( i was at a children's valentine party) with industrial strength spandex lingerie. I had to have help getting out of the lingerie.

  cultwatter, that was a totally inappropriate comment. and rude too.
