The TMS/SM was the the lowest attended meeting at my previous hall. A lot more people showed up for the BS . So now if people just start gradually not attending the TMS/SM/BS maybe they will just have a Sunday meeting the way most of American churches do anyhow. What a blessing to the jws.

Do you think the legal department is behind the book study change?
by DT indo you think the governing body is really concerned about gas prices, or are they just trying to protect themselves from pedophilia lawsuits and liability claims for accidents in private homes?

I've wondered about the liability in private homes too. Wonder what may have happened? a fight at someone's home and property destroyed, someone touched inappropriately in someone's home, and they sue the WTS?

Meat Loaf tops with me. I have seen him in concert several times and got to meet him -pic and all. Actually not a bad looking guy in person . I guess it's true beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I like rugged looking guys. He's a very intense guy, and his music is rock opera. I know it is not for everybody. It's similar to Queen. Anyway, he is my favorite singer.
I have to agree with that list -- Celine Dion- I find her very irritating ( now I know one of her most devoted fans will post next
so true, Britney and Michael Bolton.

Big Announcement could be a Sting against JWD
by OnTheWayOut ini am sure some of you remember speculation in the past that the borg would.
start false letters to smoke out the elders that are passing on the information .
to the evil apostates.. "a big announcement on april 24th" sounds like it could fit the bill.

i think the disinformation idea is quite possible. I myself have done such a thing at work to determine who was spreading rumors. It is not all that tricky and easily done.

I've read the entire thread.
that sounds like the sort of thing that happened with the "Worldwide Church of God"... certain "brothers" on the GB took their info "to the top" and a decision was made to go public.
I think what happened to the COC could happen.

To those who believe - nothing will dissuade them. To those who do not believe- nothing will convince them. What harm does it do to believe that angels or whatever help you in your life? I can't think of any harm.
BTW, Shawn- you are way too angry.
I believe angels can help people. I also believe that God helps those who help themselves.
Whatever gets you through the night.

I'm not going to tell you it was not real, I've lived long enough to know that the amount of things i don't know is astounding.
I do believe the angels help us. Nothing will shake that belief. However i can laugh at myself too.
for instance- I was very afraid recently and missing a friend who had passed. I prayed for a sign that they were with me. their name is Irwin. amazingly i was watching Animal Planet channel and Steve Irwin was on. what were the chances? pretty good since it was the Animal Planet Channel . you have to be able to laugh at yourself sometimes.
