seems i am not the only one who got hit.. my computer is still acting up even after downloading more security.. within 30 seconds of clicking on mamasix website link a couple of days ago i ended up with virus.. then, within a few hours i had 7 trojan horses.. the virus was html/framer.2 .
it is not healable.
i locked it in vault, but some of these other attachements are still screwing with my machine.. missing link said: have you removed the pop-up viruses yet?.
someone mentioned a redirect. that can happen. I got a jsredirect about a week ago. sometimes you think these things are gone and find out they have written code somewhere on your machine. I got Hijack this and Trend sent me a Trojan cleaner and also a system cleaner. It was a lot of trouble but I think i''m clean.
watch out for lyrics and music sites and avatar sites. that is where i usually get Hit.

I went there today and my firewall did not go berserk. that does not mean there isn't something wrong. yesterday lots were registering and got no warning but my fiw blocked the site. are you sure it came from there?
if so I'll be checking my machine carefully.

i've had this theory for some time and alluded to it occassionally but have never explored it in detail.. it is of course a huge generalisation so no, not everyone will fit into the boxes and i'd like people's opinion.
i don't know everyone's circumstances so it's based on a small sample of some of those i do know something about.
it could be completely wrong, it's just an idea.. basically, i have seen a difference between some of those ex-jws who walked out vs those who were kicked out.. the most bitter and obsessive seem to be the kicked out and, i must add, those who were legitimately kicked out.

Anyone who doesn't accept the fact that there are examples of "dregs of humanity" in the JW org. are naive. I won't relate any examples, but you can pretty much include every kind of rotten (and criminal) behaviour you can think of

I think there are tons more down trodden & burdened and beat up persons as compared to the truly criminal. of course criminals exist, but even criminals have a chance to change their lives.
I'd rather be naive than have a cold cold heart. I never let jws turn my heart to a piece of stone.

The wts obsession with rules instead of love just does not work. If you don't' teach children why they should not do something, they will do it at the first opportunity. Love by example teaches us why we should not lie, steal cheat etc. The wts fails miserably in that aspect. If they handled teenage "sins" ( or any kind of sins) in a more normal way, they would have less dysfunctional adults and marriages. They produce dysfunctional people who are so burdened from minor sins they often just go off at the first opportunity..
Many people in the org are severely depressed b/c they just cannot measure up. People kill themselves b/c they believe they are not as good as others b/c they have committed sins. . Dregs of humanity? No , humans who have problems and need help.
Fundy religions can be mean spirited and spite filled people with an axe to grind. God does not want people to go to hell or die at Armageddon, People do.
The bible says love never fails .I believe that.
However anyone left jws, I'm happy for you...I walked out after realizing the double standard they have - one for the inner circle and one for the peasants. I want nothing to do with any org that looks down it noses on the poor, sick and yes, dysfunctional. A church is there to help the dysfunctional, not kick them out.
