  Are You More Sexual Than Before?

  Sex is the same-except i have quit feeling guilty about certain sexual practices. i never agreed with the WTS about any of that. My husband and i did what ever we wanted-but i must admit we felt guilty. (but not so guilty that we stopped).

  Being raised as a jw , there were people of all races in the cong. i really did not give it much thought. I liked people based on how they treated others./their values and who they were as a person. As i left the sheltered world of jw, and went to work, i was a bit taken back by the racist attitudes i saw, and actually most of them were from my black co workers. They had no qualms about calling me whitey or others slurs, but for me to have done the same , well that made me racist. That left a bad taste in my mouth.But after a while i begin to see, that a lot of it had to do with education.I began to see that most of the racial slurs i heard came form uneducated people, white or black. Now this may seem simple for most-but i truly was shocked at the racist attitudes .

  i ordered crisis of conscience from amazon a couple of days ago and today got a reply back from amazon that they don't have it.

  and they won't be getting it.

  i want to read mr. franz account.

  I got my copy of COC from Amazon about 3 weeks ago. And i just ordered the one about 607 2 days ago. the order was confirmed.

  BTW, what is the privcy new light at amazon? Should i be concerned?

  Congregation get-togethers

  did your hall ever organize times for the congregation to do activities?.

  about every 6-9 months, mine would have a congregation picnic.

  people would bring food, and we would play a softball game.

  Actualy, i complained once about lack of get to gathers for the whole cong. and was told it was not the WTS responsibility to provide us with a social life. There are lots of parties around her-but only for special groups. if u ever get on the s**t list you'll never get invited again to another gathering.

  So they bring u into the truth, but u are own your on after that. If u do't fit in-like there was a young couple few years back that studied with a prominent couple, and even they could not make it b/c they were poor, lacked education and generally just did not fit in the prosperous Dallas area. They eventually quit coming and moved. hope they found somewhere they fit it.

  A lot of it is the area u live in. The south/southwest is a strongly contollled Bible belt and the witnesses brring that into the org with them. my husband is from the midwest and he said they used ot have lots of cong. parties with drinking and DANCING-which is not done in this bible belt area. So that really explains a lot of the differences i read in cong. They are affected by the area they are in. Lots of texas area is dry-those baptists hard at work again. Very irritating to have to drive 15 miles to get a beer.church of christ and assembly of God are just as bad-everything is bad. But they are better at church socials than witnesses. i repeat -THE WTS SAYS THEY DO NOT OWE US A SOCIAL LIFE.

  U can't win , is the way i see it. if u are in the "group" u can do any darn thing u want to and still be forgiven-and invited to all the parties. If u don't fit-you'll never get to any parties.

  many here are supporters of the movement to expose the wt society's harmful policies that seem to shelter molesters and punish victims.

  a common scenario is there are not two witnesses or a confession to the sin and the "loyal" elders have told the victim and their parents that 'there is nothing more we can do'.

  yes, next stop abused wifes. Over my 47 yrs with JW, i have seen some awful situations made worse by"loving" elders telling the wife she should not depart , (1)how will she care for herself and children,(2)what about her sexual needs-no outlet now, also, now if her husand goes and comits adultry, she is somewaht responsible for not giving him his "due", (3)she is not waiting of Jehovah to reslove the problem, esp if he is nonbeliever-why he mjght become a JW some day-you could be preventing that!(4)we all have problems, running away is not the way to solve them.(5)if u remarry u will be d/f and your new marriage is condemed form the beginning with that kind of start.

  Also, I hope rape will be dealt with. There are cases of rape, where the woman is accused of asking for it, wearing seductive clothiing,etc. Rape is a Crime and it is time the jw elders figured that out.

  I'v known so really nice MS. however, once they reached the status of elder, they quit being loving and started hanging out with the "big guys". No more of helping all the no bodies-got that position-got some power-now they were in the IN crowd.

  when talking to someone who never was a jw, and they say to you how could you ever fall for all that?

  it does bother me, cause i think it is some what condescending?

  recently i have been talking to a friend about jw. he is jewish. so he feels i'm being whiinny b/c the jews are a miniorty group too. He explains how he had to learn to live with being different. And how he formed his own traditions etc. He also says there are many groups that say they have the truth, ie, southern baptist he said will condem u to hell for not believing like they do.So why are jw so special? So if u dont' like it-why don't people just leave? I have to admit, i have grown up with some chruch of christ and assembly of God neighbors, and they tend to keep to themselfs and are odd.I imagine it must be hard to leave that church too.

  I'm finding it hard to help him see how hard it is just ot leave-esp when he brings up the jewish thing. any thoughts?

  hey everyone.i know im in trouble now deep deep shit !i went to my highschool football game last night,its like the biggest game of the year,well yall all know im a witness and im baptized.i meant up with some of my friends from school and the guy i like and his friends.we walked around and talked and you know goofed off,me and him went to his friends car,we ended up having sex.omg i cant believe i actually did this,but we used protection.only thing is i feel kinda bad but then i dont,whats the deal,im think im going to get disfellowedshipped oh well.please anyone help me!!!

  I am a mother, of 2 boys.I talked till i thought i'd drop about early sex. They were so influenced by their peer group that they had sex anyway. i will never forget my 13 son coming home in tears telling me he had had sex and how bad he felt and for me to pls not tell elders. I could have cried for him-and i felt for the girl, I worried he could be a father at age 13.(he wasn't)

  No matter what everyone else says they are doing-don't do something u are not ready to do. Jumping in a car and having sex on the spur of the monent doesnt' sound like something u gave a lot of thought to. And for sure the guy has spread it all over school by now. And u can get a reputation for being easy. Guys are cool when they do it -girls are easy. It is adouble standard-but it is still there.Guys that age don't feel romace and all that -they just want to get laid and tell their buddies.

  If u could trust your parents not to report u to the elders-i'd talk to them. But if they are like the average JW they will take u before the elders to discipline u. Do u have a school counsler to talk to ?

  Before u even think of of having sex again-talk to a school counselor and see how u really feel about

  sex in general. Maybe u are not ready for it. There's no law that says u have to have sex. And as a

  number have said, condoms don't always work-nothing is 100%. Think of having a bay at age 16-17

  and not getting to go to college or have all the fun the others kids will be having.Sex is not for kids. it

  is for adults. And a lot of adults have problems in this area-think how many people are DF every year? Even being an adult does mean u are ready to have sex with just anyone.

  WTS Secret Police

  heres a story of what happened to me at a district convention this year.. an unbaptised publisher and i travelled to wolverhampton district convention in england.

  this wasnt our district but id been on holiday and had missed my own district convention (how unspiritual of me).

  so me and this friend decided to go to this convention and was also hoping to meet a friend there.. on the saturday morning we were delayed in traffic and we eventually arrived at 11.30am, paid our 3 for parking (i wonder if they had the use of car parks for free?

  I have 2 accounts. One, i walked in dressed like a "wordly woman" just cause i wanted to.My husband was parking the car and i was sent ahead to find seats on the floor .A nice young(cute) attendent stopepd me and LOOKED ME OVER really well, and asked what i was doing. I told him i was turned around and looking for the main floor. I was carrying a green bible. He continued looking me over , but did point the direction and i got a" come heither" look-guess JW like wild worldy women.

  #2 they were giving a talk and the speaker was really emphasizng obedience to WTS and elders. He told everyone that for 5 minutes he did not want anyone to get out of their seat. U could have heard a pin drop. I on the other hand, was walking around looking for someone and also went to bathroom.. 'The JW's all had a zommbie like apperance-except me. I half expected Jehovah to strike me down.

  Brother xxxx had just finished the the main talk and stepped off the stage at a Ft. worth convention. When he got off stage-he was surronuded by the WT police-his bodyguard's.I walked over to say hi- and that is when i was informed ther had been a bomb threat at the convention. the WT Police watched me like a hawk as i just walked up to him to say "Hi" .

  Anyone who just hung around outside at conventions at that time was suspect.
