Studying for 4 years? Not too long ago jw would not study with you for more than 6 month,

FYI, most kids leave the org as they become adults, why?

BTW, jw are not part of the SOCIETY.

Dont ask heavy questions to jw, just see and listen...
If you decide to become a jw and later resign for ANY reason
HOW DO YOU THINK THEY WILL TREAT YOU? (your good jw brothers and sisters, friends).

Ddid you read the book CoC? You will find a good answer to your question

i may be posting under the wrong topic, some spelling and rambling but any way

as a teenager i was part of a judicial commitee, i did not like it, they even appoint you, by "holy spirit" ,to positions without even asking you if you are willing to take the position. It happened to me several times.

once you are deep inside or with some 'spiritual' resonsabilities i dont see how anyone can not become aware about the stupidity the system, unless i was stupid myself.

for example, your left hand should not even know what right hand is doing, but here they are forcing everyone to report their preaching activity in detail, and measure your spirituality based on your record. I always hated that.

even comparing the wt rules against the bible you quickly realize they dont harmonize and if you continue fully supporting the system something wrong with you.

exactly what is wrong?
lack of honesty, integrity?.
how can a person become so blind?
many people have difficulty dealing with conflict of interest...

Finally i see some people going in the right direction.

For example religion freedom (or whatever they claim) does no give a church the right to pray or sing using a LOUDSPEAKER above certain level in some locations depending on the time of the day or nigh. Or blowing a building (911) just because GOD the Bible or the Coran says so.

NO TRESPASSING sign on your private property, does not apply to preachers?

who will draw the line?

if they sell magazines IRS will step in even if the religion says the money collected is for a holy purpose

THERE ARE REGULATIONS, they just can not get away with everything in the name of religion.

Smarmy Awake totally supporting UN

i am preparing a major upgrade on my book, "thus saith the governing body of jehovah's witnesses," which i may retitle "thus saith the watchtower.

" anyway, i am putting in dozens of pages updating stuff on voting, pedophiles, the media and deception, and most notably the united nations issue.

what amazes me is over half of the november 22, 1998 awake!

the UN and/or some top intelligence agency called, around 1990, the WT and told:

"Freddy is about to die, this is a good chance for you to STOP printing crap about the UN and government."

"you have one of two choices and here are the results in each case. And dont forget that we put Rutherfor in jail once and that we know some of your litle secrets." Also we can set up a military court when the objective justify the means.

dont worry this can be just between Barry and me, Barry and and i wont say a word to the public no matter what.

BTW how hard do you think it is for an 'agency' to use the wt as a vehicle.

The UN Affiliation: Likely Denouement?

ive found the un affiliation threads very interesting, but ive also expressed the view that this issue will have virtually no effect on jw membership.

i have at least two reasons for believing this.. first, after reading w. j. schnells 1957 book, thirty years a watchtower slave, in which the author describes how the watchtower used negative publicity to increase membership, im now of the opinion that continued commentary on this matter may only serve to foster an even greater conviction on the part of rank and file jws that they are being persecuted, and they will increase their efforts to recruit members; this will offset what i think will be a miniscule number of defections by those who will feel betrayed because of the un affiliation.

the reason why i think there will be few defections is described below.. second, i believe that the watchtower can easily defend itself.

1.more and more people search the ilnternet

2. what is the tipical profile of those who dont use the internet?

3. the 1975, the generation, and the UN issues will continue to adorn the wt history.

4.i have noticed that jw, including old timers, do not recommend or encourage others to join their religion. In the past they did that, strongly, at every opportunity. they may go to "field service" but dont feel strong about the whole thing.

5. even myself when, after leaving the wt, did not discourage anyone to joint. Now if i have to give an opinion, i would say: think twice, or make sure about what you are doing. INTERNET, BOOKS can make a big difference sonner or later.

6. i was told that a public speaker at a KH told young people to go to college, when people are exposed to information other than wt info at early age...

First, on another topic, you said you dont see any wrong on the part of the wt

now you say that exposing the nnfomation will not have a big impact.
if most jw dont beleive it, it is their reponsability.

one reason they wont pay attention is that most are new in the org. or too old, people dont like and resist changes

well, my husband found out about my affair (yes, i gave in to the temptation with the soccer player and while it was fantastic, it's over now) and it's been a devestating time, we almost got divorced, but we're working through it.

i knew telling friends and this board wasn't going to help me fight his romantic advances, but i tried.

it was a one time thing that would have continued, but i wasn't too careful about the clues (guilty conscience i think).

let me try to clarify.

regarding my first post on this topic, in
the first parragraph i am referring to both male and females.

on the second parragraph i tried to say that men who let ther wives "screw around" around is because they dont feel attached long term (does not care), his mate inclinations (to screw around) could be one more good reason

Ask an artist or a programmer or even some millionaires, in fact i have known a lot of happy people outside, proportionally more than inside the wt
