this is happening now.. all our favorite avid posters are probably involved.. so now that we know they are here, we can call them on it.. let see how many come and make a reply to this.. .

Lack of Elders in your hall?

there is an upcoming study article trying to encourage men to reach out.

in my cong there are more former elders and servants than current ones.

i was looking around the other day during a meeting and could only spot one young guy who is reaching out to be an ms. the 5 elders are now running mics.

The problem of course is "there is NO Holy Spirit." In ancient Isreal the Priests would just READ the law to the nation ONE meeting per week. They weren't kept busy MAKING UP TALKS. Only a few retired ELDERS at the GATE for the entire CITY.

Sooo a lot less busy work. The priests primary JOB was the Temple, and the FEW ELDERS at the gate were probably retired. Fewer demands required fewer men, and therefore they could be more qualified.

The WBTS self made system is self destructing for many reasons.

Has anyone gotten reinstated and faded as soon as they could ?

i'm think about doing this trick to get reinstated, and quit.

i have since moved 75 miles north of los angeles, so i'm not going back to the congregation that disfellowshipped me in the first place.

i'm just doing this for my family.

Sorry for your pain.

Some tips from others; Don't even bother trying until 6-9 months have passed.

Make sure you have a dated paper trail to REMIND the ELDERS you exist. (most elder bodies have group "attention deficit disorder")

They will want to be certain you have ceased doing what you did to get disfellowshipped in the first place. That you have repented, made amends, and are attending just about every meeting. After a few meetings, write a nice handwritten, humble, dated "Mea culpa" letter outlining your desire to be re-instated to the Body of Elders, outlining your changed attitude, that you have ceased ..x... long ago, and made ammends to injured parties to the best of your ability, and are now attending meetings. (a copy to a family member). Ask what they want you to do. This will start the clock and shorten the time. Every couple of months and ask for re-instatement/meeting (to gauge mood). This way friends and family pester elders for you as well from the beginning. ( do not TALK to anyone after). (depression, talk of suicidal thoughts helps).

If the disfellowshipping was a big public hoo ha in your area, or some on the body have it in for you, it might slow things way down..to an eternity.

If you are a well liked relative of an Elder, the above will get you re-instated pronto. If the "injured party" campaigns against you, or is family of a Elder...sorry.

dealing with kids in any type of judicial manner.

i would do everything i could to get parents to "deal with it-kindly" at home.

Yes, she left but was racked with guilt and low self esteem. One of the biggest hurdles with these kinds of cases are the MOTHERS. They BELIEVE the child will die at armagedon (and public humiliation) if they go to "outside" agencies.

OZ - I wondered about that as well. Perhaps a Danish JW could clarify that. Because it's cold on the North Sea? ?? I always pray with eyes open..get dizzy otherwise..especially when some drone on and on and on and on.

Incredible story. I have a friend nearby. C.O. and his Cousin thought a few ernest black brothers and true believer window washing Elders would be pushovers. FACEBOOK HEADQUARTERS and Stanford University are nearby adding value to the land. A juicy 2+ mil plum to be sold and controled.

Oh well, more than one attorney was a member of that hall, along with humble Stanford employees with some longtime conections to powerful people. So, don't count the window washers out yet.

The C.O.s back slapping cousin has a dark past with vile accusations by his own children who have left the borg. These accusations were known to the Menlo Park Elders.

Interesting to see what side WTBT$ is on. Why am I not surprized.
