ARE YOU PRO-UNION OR ANTI-UNION?
by Mary inwould you rather work in a unionized or non-unionized environment?
the place where i work recently voted 'no', we don't want a union in here (after being harassed by a very large union for the last 5 years).
there were some who voted 'yes', but the majority of us voted 'no' and those that were pro-union are quite pissed off that the rest of us 'fail to see the light'.

Was anti union in the 70 and 80s. After 2008 I have become Pro-union. The middle class is very important to a stable economy.

Who Exactly Answers Your Letter When You Write the Society?

i thought maybe there has been a thread on this before or maybe one of your awesome researchers would know how to answer?.

I had a buddy at the service desk who did that. 90% were form letters. A copy goes to your COBE. (My buddy HATED his job). "These people are sincere...and I send them a canned letter..."
Some very strange ELDER from WAY OUT in the boonies gave a wacked out public talk at our hall. A Ministerial Servant took it on himself to write the Society and tell them all about it. Of course within a month we got a copy of the letter. The COBE read it out loud at an elders meeting, and was pissed the MS "made him look bad". I thought the whole thing was kind of funny (the speaker sounded like a penticostal snake charmer), the speaker deserved it and the MS actually BELIEVED ANYTHING sent to WTBTS was confidential.

by uriah insince the program and at other times when jw's are 'in the news' i have always been told that.
'jehovah's people' would not do that kind of thing etc.. a typical response to the panorama was 'it's all apostates isn't it' or 'they were good actors' - .
yeah, right the guy in 'cuffs being lead to the clink, great acting.. what is my point you ask, mildly.. it is this.

a court order granted today to allow the coombe hospital give a baby a blood transfusion against the wishes of her parents underscores the need for more discussions to take place between hospital staff and patients, says a dublin branch of jehovahs witnesses.. harry homan, from the south dublin hospital liaison committee said that the issue highlighted the relationship between hospital staff and jehovahs witness patients.. he said, however, that there is already healthy discussions happening across the country.. the parents in this case are very happy with the hospital and the care being give to their baby, homan told thejournal.ie.. there is an excellent relationship between the parents and staff and the child is receiving the best of care.. he added that a blood transfusion will only be given to the premature baby as a last resort.. at the moment, she is doing well, said homan.. rte reports that the transfusion will be given to the baby if her condition deteriorates and it is necessary to save her life.. hospitals are acutely aware of the dangers associated with blood transfusions, claimed homan, adding that it is in everyones best interests to seek alternatives.. he said the position of jehovahs witnesses is perfectly clear on the matter of blood transfusions.. we do refuse transfusions, he said.

Since it's obvious to true Christians that the Governing Body is apostate, are they represented by the "evil slave," the "man of lawlessness," the "antichrist" or someone else in the Scriptures?
by matt2414 inafter the conti verdict last week, the list of high crimes committed by the witness organization led by its governing body just gets longer and longer.
in addition to harboring, protecting and even legally defending child molesters, the governing body is also guilty of being defacto false prophets, stumblers of "little ones," blasphers of god with their "jehovah hates everyone but us" teachings, causers of division between brothers with their shunning policy, among myriad other actions that have turned people against god.
so, who in the bible represents the governing body?

An active JW told me today that during the Watchtower, he was offended that the Governing Body was putting the EARTHLY "Slave" on a level with Jesus in the Gen 3:15 prophecy, and that it sounded Blasphemous and APOSTATE.

You Never Did Enough As A Witness!
by minimus inone thing that i will never miss is how you were made to feel inferior----that nothing you did was ever really good enough to satisfy the organization and of course by extension, jehovah god.
i know of sooooooo many witnesses that are truly depressed because they can never seem to satisfy god or the elders.. people even start getting mysterious illnesses and believe the "demons" are always trying to get at them.
the mentality is that "everyone hates us because we're jehovah's witnesses".

Why would you make an 83 yr old woman go out in service????
by loosie ini am trying to contact my mothers elders in riverside ca, because my mother doesn't talk to her family.
since that means at least 12 phone calls to various kh's i thought i'd start with my aunt to see what the name of the congegation is.
unfortunatly she didn't know.

My poor 82 year old mom hears all that BS off the platform and frets if she isn't at EVERY meeting or out in Service every week. She doesn't want to DIE in a "disapproved state".!
I finally had to call the P.O. in my moms cong. I reminded him she needs the telephone tie-in, and that he and the hall could be held accountable for "bloodguilt", or law suits, if she and the other little old sisters drive over any school kids trying to "get thier time in".
