  i was ministered to by several different people at a jw funeral i attended today.

  one older lady said to me, "you know the end is right around the corner, just look at the state of the world today".

  i said, "well yes but that has been the mantra for decades, remember 'stay alive till '75'".

  The "figurative" heart

  about 25 years ago i gave a talk about how when the bible talks about the heart that it is the literal heart and how the heart and the brain are connected by nerve tissue.

  the watchtower even stated that some people who received a heart transplant would take on some of the personality of the donor.then all of a sudden the borg changed and said that when the bible refers to the heart that it is figurative.

  then when ever the watchtower referred to the heart it always put the word figurative in front of it.. does anyone know why there was a change in the use of the word heart?

  In wt speak means

  • they attend all meetings,
  • wear the right clothes
  • make comments in the wt according to the 'party-line'
  • use the right tone of voice
  • do all the required field service
  • never speak of anything 'worldly'.

  summed up, are seen to be compliant and obedient to all wt demands.

  Normal Family Relations Continue...My Arse....

  i think that the big issue here is the double standard based on the location of the family members - if they are 'immediate' meaning they live at home in the same dwelling under the same roof then it's ok but if you are like me and living on your own, your family will absolutely avoid contact with you as that is the real jw policy..the old canada court trial and recent swedish news are totally out of context and the jw attorneys are complete tools and filthy liars....

  Anyone recall the Awake! magazine that showed a crying couple on the front page at that as they had their offspring going out the front door. It was all about shunning.

  The two wt goons at the CARC got a toasting over shunning and twisted words meanings.

  think of how much time and money the tower stole from any who were in the cult.

  think of the vacations as a child you could have taken with your families the memories you could have made instead of sitting in a hot bs week of echo talks and propaganda.

  sour grapes.

  I was to apply for a maintenance job at a resort (accommodation supplied) and the elder I mentioned it too said i would miss the brothers so much if I went. I was never one to need to have brothers round me and I didnt apply as another job came up.

  Years on and my son had a chance with accommodation to learn a high grade of avionics in the UK but he was persuaded by an elder not to on the basis of "what ifs...".

  He spent some time in low level employment and finally through worldly friends found a half decent position.But his dream of the avionics is gone.

  I have said it before I rue the day I ever walked into a kh.

  If the US ever wakes up to the wt I hope to see on the news where the government raids the wt headquarters and kicks the gb out and some worthwhile agency moves in such as veterans rehab.
