i hear of these stories of elders swapping wives, i remember when i was young hearing of three elders in florida doing this and getting dfed.
my question is this how is it possible to bring this up in conversation?
it seems impossible, how can there be multi elders that know each other willing and the wives?

If i were to mention such a thing to my wife it would be from an insane desire to see her jump behind wt walls and slam the drawbridge shut.

not for any personal reason other than the fact that i enjoy reading others heartfelt and very real experiences and feel it may help others.

So often at meetings i would hear some say "XXX is here wheres YYY (husband)" and vice versa. This was predominantly from the sisters who are insecure freaks of the first order but not only.
How about they look at the person they are talking to and say "Nice to see you" and keep their worries about who is not there to themselves.
Part of the pack mentality. and reading back on this file.

Your mother is a tragic. she desparately requires formal counselling. Have you been able to get her to a doctor?
This tragic situation is not likely to get better so much damage has been done.
Please contact silent lambs or a site closer to home and find a lawyer to state the situation and get it on record and get your mum to a doctor and pronto! Do not expect her to go willingly due to to the wts built in prejudices against all formal professionals.

i can see how the religion is very appealing to people.
I have skimmed this only perhaps i missed this point.. what is her age? and yours may I ask. Please take on board all of the above that others have put in.
She sounds quite immature. It became my observation that jw females are usually some years behind in mental maturity than females not jw.

52 degrees celsius is 125.6 degrees fahrenheit.
that's hot no matter how you measure it.. where i used to live in the desert we had about two weeks every year with temps over 120 degrees f. i once experienced walking in 128 degree weather.
not good for humans at all.. i hope the weather cools soon -- that is hot enough to keep wild fires burning for a long time, hot enough to kill people.

i was da from a cong in northern new england back in the early 1990s for voting.
i did not write the letter, the elders did it for me.
and another thought.... discussion group? yeah bight me! what would they 'discuss'? jw have nothing to discuss after "hello how are you?"
they have no sport participation.
No hobbies.
No art culture..music
no fitness interest.
etc. and if the 'discussion group' is about the religion then they are not discussing but parroting because anyone who discovers anything from any source other than wt would have their discovery doubted.
Doubt me? try reading in any KH from another version of the Bible and watch the reaction...... now let them discuss that.!
