It's amazing how conditioned we have become to the alarmists practicing junk science and spreading fear of everything in our environment. This project was a wake-up call for us all.

Why the JW won't 'confess their sins..'
by LDH inwell, richie's post on his memorial experience got me to thinking about the practice of "confessing sins" and how little jws are able to take advantage of it.. in what they term "worldly chruches," people go frequently to confess their sins.
their priest or womever offers them "absolution" and they are free to go on their merry little way and commit more sins.. now the jw will call that hypocrisy but i see it the exact other way.. according to the bible there 'is nothing new under the sun,' therefore, why should jws be afraid to confess their sins to the ones looking out for their spiritual well being?
why are they not allowed to say "brothers i've sinned again.

Sounds like I didnt miss much. In our area, I hear they rounded up a lot of Bosnian refugees. From what I know of these people, they are hungry and very needy. I wonder if any of them were tempted to munch on the memorial goodies.

UK magazine (Womans own) JW abuse story +scan
by Geordie inthe story takes up 2 pages in womans own magazine and has a photo of the j/w father who abused his daughter.. the story is entitled..... "church of shame".
and starts...... after being sexually abused for years by her father, alison cousins turned to her local church for help.
but she was turned away and told to keep quiet.

that article about the woman who killed herself
after killing her son and then discovered by the
husband had a defining ending. The police were quite
curious if J-dubs have a well tied relationship to
drama. Now that I think about it I agree. The method
of conversion into the org is dramatic, the future
expectations are intensely dramatic, their bible is
overly dramatic, their lifestyle is obviously dramatic
even to the most aloof outsider, and of course the
exit of a member is melodramatic. No wonder when an
individual or family faces normal rather undramatic
obstacles they deal with it in life ending dramatic
styles.Sad.

Pardon the repost but:
I was absolutely sickened by that article and that
situation of the Bryants. The title pushed it over
the edge. I can just see those witnesses "struggling"
to understand what went so wrong with a most likely
good wholesome nuclear family. Bastards! Although
what the dad did was dead wrong, I know for a fact
that his final reasoning may have been this:
"I have had taken away everything that was dear to me.
My wife is shunned in public, my kids arent allowed
to play with the same kids they played with for years,
My parents have done to me what feels like a
figurative prolonged abortion. Oh well, the bible
says the wages sin pays is death. This might be all
my fault. If my family dies, we are forgiven, Yeah,
forgiven...that would be wonderful. I love my
family."So he kills all, hoping that this final act will pay
for all the emotional bull shit inflicted on his
curious mind.And his relatives most likely figured he was a bad egg
after all, never really had the witness thing in his
heart, and then proverbally fell by the wayside. So
they "struggle". Well struggle on you unloving
bastards. You are the ones who planted these seeds
that grew into weeds. Mourn "your" loss. Forget to
think about any wrong you have committed to lead this
sad, sad story of your relative to his morbid end.
And whatever you do, dont even attempt to see him in
that paradise that you are certain is eminent for
righteous people like yourself. Finally, DO NOT take
it personally that he chose murder and death to life
under your shunning. For the love of GOD, he will be
judged. And if you did pass judgement on your son,
God is doing the very same thing. Struggle on.Sick bullshit,
