Men always are nervous about these matters. He has to calm down or he will have another attack. Remind him to put his trust in the Lord and to keep himself free of worry. That is the biggest problem. Worry. It is of course normal to be concerned but I am sure with proper rest and lots of love and prayers he will recover. Love orangefatcat.

I wonder why do the "society" not call themselves "The Way"?
by Kosonen inthere are several places in acts saying that christians in the first centry called their form of worship the way.
a very good name, the right way of living, found in the teachings of the apostles, and of lord jesus christ.. is there on earth a religion calling them selves the way like in the first centry?.
so should christians be anointed?

If memory serves me, I do recall that during the times of persecution during the second world war JWs referred to one another as the friends and also the way. I am certain I have read that in the society's publications somewhere over the years I was one.

How much does your childhood have a bearing on your future?
by jambon1 inwhen a lot of you were being taken along to the kingdom hall as children, i was involved with school projects and my dads favourite football team.. we were a community family.
we had bonfires, haloween parties, new year parties & to some extent christmas.
i also gathered among around 13 000 other people to watch our capitals biggest football (soccer) team every 2nd week.

I had a wonderful childhood prior to the JW conversion on the part of my father in 63, After that no more fun, no more christmas, birthdays, halloween, easter, no more girl guides, no more sports at school, no more friends no more fun, no more going to the movie, just meeting, service , bookstudy, bibile study week in week out for 38yrs and then in 99 I had enough of it. I was fed up being spied on, looked under a microscope like I was a bacteria or microbe, I just couldn't stand the fighting in the cong. and I wanted out of my marriage and so I did the you know what with my friend and the rest was the best nine years with Marco and freedom from that rotton Organization.
Now that I am alone I reflect often of my younger years and the joy of having so much fun despite the fact my father was a hard core alcoholic and mother a drug addict, but my grandmother was all I needed to be the happiest kid on the planet and my world crashed when we were forced to become one of them.

Just to look at Jim Jones was enough to see he was weird and his eyes were always hidden behind sun glasses and there is something that was always creepy about that guy. Yet he brainwashed all those innocent people to drink koolaid and they all died, how terribly tragic. I wonder if the GB has any cynide pills just in case they are lynched.

Leave silently or loudly: that is the question
by Hiddenwindow insince the wt has always capitalized on secrecy, aren't we playing into their game when we leave silently?
wouldn't it be better to make as much noise as possible when leaving?
it would be of great help if each individual who leaves for matters of conscience or disagreement with doctrine wrote a letter to his entire congregation and family explaining his view on the issues.

even though I never went to any JC hearings I wasn't going to allow men to be my judge what happened in my mind was between me and God not three men and God. Over the past nine years I have developed a strong back bone and I know I can stand up to any JW elder any day of the week. Like the elder I spoke with regarding my ex husband and his wife who was neglecting him and abusing him, I found out this through my son and their neighbours. So when I went to this elders home to tell him if they didn't do anything about it I was going to call the authorities.
Elderly abuse hotline and the authorities. The elder was taken aback by my straightforwardness and started moving backwards and said to me well Terry your disfellowshipped and I said well aren't you still and elder to which he said yes and I said well you can talk to me. and I said to him regardless of what you do I am still reporting this to the authorities and to the Canadian Mental Health Association. And He just kind of kept going backwards but now a lot faster and I said thanks and was off into the wild blue yonder and felt terrific for having spoken up about this. Oh sure I know I am divorced from him but I still care we share a son together and were married 28yrs so we do have a history and I hate the bitch he is married to as she is a real person with mental problems big time.
I wish that I had spoke out loudly the last time I went to the meeting but said nothing as this would have foiled my already set plans that were already in place for my escape.

never done fluff...but what movies or songs make you cry?
by oompa inya....as you know i am pathetic...a cryer.....oompa.
there are even some andy griffith shows that make me cry..... i wrote a song that almost always makes me cry when i play it....but cant post it as it would totally out me...in case my other revealing threads have not...tired of the game.....oompa.
i know it is pathetic...but sleepless in seattle make me cry...and ya...i love the soundtrack................. .
