first of all, my sincere apologies for the recent disruptive posts.. while i've had to give them my attention i want to say a big "thank you" to all the posters who don't cause trouble, use the forum as intended have had to put up with a few idiots.
i assure you that i will continue to do everything i can to keep things running as smoothly as possible.
way to go Simon!!
i've had two nights wihtout being able to sleep.
i've been turning all night.. i'm having images of my old days in the gulf.
from first being dropped in at 1500 feet to the stupid republican guard holding there ground.. i see and feel the blackening sky as the oil wells were lit on fire and the intense heat they produced in an already oven like country.. i feel so bad for my old comrades as they encounter the "new enemy" and feel as if i abandoned them.. i should be there i keep thinking...i should be there..i should..i should....*.

in recent weeks i have been stunned at how larc, prisca, and refiner's fire have been treated and maligned so badly ... it is just unbelievable.
these are good people who have good views, opinions and express themselves well ... they are supportive when folks are down ... and it seems they certainly deserve much respect.
thought that they need to know how much they are appreciated.

i left almost nine years ago at age 18; my only real regret was that i was good friends with a young brother and i never said goodbye to him, or even let him know that i was planning to leave (had to leave my parents' home secretly while they were at the meeting one sunday; they had such a hold over me that i could never have stood up to them and told them beforehand).
.
i have no other regrets about leaving; i'm am now happily agnostic and so thankful that i found the strength to break free.. anyone have any similar regrets?

grab your favorite drink and enjoy.. j2bf.
Joy you are so sweet, I love the pic and in makes me feel warm and fuzzy all over and I haven't had a drink of wine yet. I love champagne it is my favorite. I always buy it to rejoice in my new found life and happiness that I share with my wonderful husband Marco. Several times we pour a glass or two and sit back and ponder our dreams together and those dreams are like the beautiful pic you have shared with us.
Love chating in the room with you Joy and look forward one day to perhaps meeting you. No one knows what tomorrow will bring.
Cheers friend.

PROCRASTINATION IS THE THIEF OF TIME!!
get a divorce if he/she is a witness?
Well NightWing I did just that, I commited adultery on purpose to get out of a 28 yr. marriage to a nut and to leave the organization at the same time. It is not something I wouldn't recommend unless you are 100 percent sure that this is what you need to do for the sake of your mental and emotional and physical well being. And if that is the case then go with your heart. Please be assured that you will undoubtably go through some literal physical discomfort. I say this because I had pains around my chest. This descion is a drastic change especailly if you have been a witness for a long time and been in a longtime marriage. I was in the org. for 37 yrs. It took many weeks of tears to get a grip on what I was about to do . I use to sit in the bathtub crying, pleading with Jehovah to help me to know what to do. My ex husband was a fanatic who had no time for his son or me, for that matter he was too busy trying to safe the world of mankind. He was one of a kind let me tell you, it would take me a volume or two to tell you my story about me life. I am just trying to show you NightWing there will be a lot to initial anguish, but if you feel that you can no longer live under your circumstances and your survival and sanity are dependant on it then go for it. But let me recommend to you, that you visit your family doctor, and seek his advise as to how you can deal with your health (mental) can take it and seek out counselling with a social worker or therapist and if need be an emergency shelter these organizations are emmencely helpful and will support your descion and direct you in your life, Believe me they are very helpful when you have decided to leave the organization. because most of them believe that the JWs are a cult. I don't know all your circumstances like if you have children.etc. If you are determined to go through with your choice I wish you well and peace of mind and heart. You can email me anytime or anyone can email I am always willing to listen. Confedentuality is assured in private.
