  i'm sure everone is looking forward to the feild ministry today!!!

  all the young kids and teenagers just cant't wait to see their school chums in the door to door activity.

  my guess it will be very little door to door today, for the brave ones that go out.

  YEAH Like what happened from the 3rd century until the 1870's
  Like who kept field service records and who arranged meetings who arranged the book study and I wonder what book they studied , seeing how like there was the first modern bible printing in 1492 dah...and gee who made up the Judical committees and who aranged for disfellowshiping and where was the world headquaters oh gee whiz tell me tell me.... i'm in suspense.
  I wonder how many kept records of someone who killed themselves or records of stealing and cheating and fornicating, murdering. lying Please tell me why did this dear man and his family die in Or. gee does it have something to do with so-called organized religion. I know the Christ didn't intent for this to happen. So when a JW calls at your door next time say to them. Just how important is your record of ministry and the hours you put in because they mean little when you cause people to die. I am angry, pissed off and just hate the fact that a beautiful family was destroyed because of man made RULES AND REGULATIONS...

  Thowing away WTS Publications

  in the past weeks, i have been throwing away my 32 year library of books.

  the feeling of freeing myself from the weight of the lies contained within the pages was my objective.

  i have always been afraid of letting them go just in case it was the "truth.

  I have held on mine, i just use them as a reference. When I recently told my ex husband that I wanted my books he said right of the bat, oh what an answer to a prayer. I suppose he was referring to the "new light", that it is okay to pray for disfellowshipped ones. Sure when hell freezes over.

  sharon like her sister janet was also raised a jw.

  she left the religion three years ago just about the same time as robert and janet.

  her husband is not a jw but did attend the occasional meeting.

  i started my training at home depot last night.

  Help When Help Is Requested

  i am writing this post in light of what sharon roe's said in her closing comments to the news-register, " if you're hurting,she says,get help.

  if you see someone hurting, reach out.

  i don't often write lengthy letters, but after reading sharon's letter, i was compelled to share a letter that i had written to an elder who took it upon himself to say that i was not repentant and this led to my expulsion.

  How sad you have had to endure so much, I think when elders know you need help they seem to run the other way. I asked elders to help me with some problems and they said they would get back to me. Well guess what, they never did. I spoke with them on numerous occasion but to no avail. I think if you have been abused or have mental problems they the elders want to run in the oppostie direction. They don't know how to deal with it. Years ago it was considered a no no to speak to a doctor or therapist, physciatrist, about your personal conflicts. In fact one brother told me Jehovah is the greatest physciatrist. I don't think they have a clue as to what we need in regards to human help and healing and Jehovah is not going to give them a degree in Human Behavior. So many have suffered in silence and for those who have gone to the elders for needed help, well let me put it nicely, they don't give a damn.
  When it comes to mental health they think praying is the cure all, news flash they are wrong. Oh maybe prayer helps a little but when you have been abused you feel many times guilt and guilt is a real deep pain. There is no reason to feel that way, its just how we feel about ourselves ,we have fragile feelings leading to bouts of severe depression and when we ask for help it is not there. I wish you peace and inner strength to endure that which is troubling you and don't be hard on yourself. You will find many friend here who are willing to listen and offer advise as many have endured what you are enduring. Good Luck.

  Bryant Memorial Service Report

  it is hard for me to transcibe certain feelings into written words especially since i'm not what you would consider to be a real emotional person.

  i have also mastered the art of rarely showing any outward emotional expression.

  i will try and do my best to give you some of the feelings i experienced today through my eyes, so please bare with me.. i drove the hour to mcminnville which is a small town about forty miles south of portland.

  My heart aches from the pain this family endured. Thank you so much for going to their funeral, I dare say that words could not express the feelings you had upon entering a church, as we have all been programed to believe that these are demon possessed. I still feel a deep heaviness in my heart and a lump in my stomach. Because I live in Canada I was not able to be there, but my thoughts were.
  It is wonderful to see that people attending from this small town gave there love and support to total strangers. Who says that people of other walks of life and different religions cannot share a bond of love and caring. They showed up the Jehovah's Witnesses as being callus and without regard for this beautiful family. What a pity. How on earth could they be so heartless.
  Dave you expressed your feelings so eloquantly that I will hear them in my mind and heart for a long time. Bless you,
  May God above not forget the good things that this family did. Only He know what caused this tragedy.
  Please except my arms around you as I give you a big hug and a thankyou for your courage in going to support this family..during their hour on need.

  hi simon, firstly i would like to say thank you for allowing us to post on here, its been a real eye opener for me to see that there are other people out in the world like me, that we are not the freaks after all, when i first got disfellowshipped i thought it was a terrible thing, that i was leaving the truth, now, after spending around a month on here i can see i never was in the truth, so thank you for letting me see that.. also can i say its refreshing to see someone admit when they make a mistake, like you did in the thread by sf, thank you for not being too proud to listen.
