Dave I have to admit that you have a real concern for the well being of each and everyone of us. I am grateful that you take time to delve into the research you do and I can tell that you work for all our benefits. I am happy you take the time to express your deep concern over this issue of cults. Here we are trying to get out of a mind controling cult and then there is someone sneakingly trying to corrupt our vunerablity. I never knew before how many quackry beliefs there is out there in this big world. I can see clearly how people can gain your confidence and trust and then they come in for the kill as it were. I have learned so much on this board and I do believe you are right when you say, "if Robert Bryant had visited this board he may well have not done what he did to himself and his beautiful family. Is holy spirit really involved with appointments?
by Leander ini've always been curious about the process they use to appoint someone as a minsterial servant, elder or pioneer.
do they claim these appointments are made by holy spirit?
i am aware that the elder body has to first approve it and then send it through bethel or the circuit overseer, but i'm not sure what happens next.

Pub Record Card Policy
by VitoJW ini remeber in a bofe meeting with co, the comment was made by the co that w/o having the pub's record card on file, a congregation could not df someone, or at least would have to be very careful in doing so for legal reasons.
i thought at the time that he may have gotten his info from a letter from bethel.. has anyone else heard of such?
maybe i make them an offer they cannot refuse........

I see a few of you have been elders, could you please tell me what they do with the files of those who have been reproved, publicly privately and disfellowshipped ones? And what if you wrote a personal letter to an elder and then he uses it in a JC hearing? Why no loyality when the letter is written with the understanding that is it( Personal and Confidential) on the envelope?
And can a person who has been disfellowshipped ask for these nasty files that they have in there little elders room under lock and key??? -

I have five of the original glass slides from the Photo Drama of Creation. A Brother who was of the remnant gave them to me as he owned a complete set and the original slide projector. It was really interesting and he had reels and reels of films with talks of CT Russel and Rutherford. This brother passed away a long time ago and I think he willed them back to the Society.
