"My Husband is Poisoning Me!" Judicial Committee number 256
by BucketShopBill ini pulled up the notes from one of the more weird judical committe topics, this is the garbage your elders had to handle!.
the mind games played by one of the elderettes come's to mind, she was speaking to a sister that was suffering from severe anxiety and helped our depressed sister draw the conclusion that "sister depressed's husband is trying to poisoning her!
" off goes this once pretty and smart woman, she went to college and got her license to draw blood because she wanted to test it for arsenic and polonium (around the time that russian guy got off ed by vladimir putin).

Scientologists are under intense pressure to donate huge amounts of money in order to pay for a new building they dont need.

Question: Is JW religion the most attacked one?
by Da.Furious ini was having a chat with an elder and couple of friends regarding apostates and how to protect ourselves and funnily how to identify them!.
during the discussion the elder mentioned: jehovah's witnesses is most attacked religion in the world.
there are no other religions that are under the spotlight.

All cults believe they are being persecuted. A cult needs persecution to thrive. If none exist, they must create it.
If a JW “exposes” beliefs and practices another religion, it is love. If someone does the same to them, the Persecution card is played.
In reality, the normal person on the street thinks JWs are “nice people” and only see the clean pristine image. It is only other religious fanatics that might give them a hard time at the door.

"...the merchants of the earth became rich owing to the power of her shameless luxury."--Revelation 18:3
It is in the local governments and business's economic self interest that Watchtower the Great keep going. No wonder it is hard to get a balanced news article in the paper, instead there is are glowing fluff articles that JWs are learning to improve their family life, ect, ect... Not a word that they are told to shun certain family members.

by new hope and happiness insorry for such a depressing question, but i was moved by a picture i saw of the consequences.
( a woman carrying her child) and i realised:-.
a) it was a civillian population.. b) i don't see how a nuclear holocaust can ever be right.. c) they could have bombed tokyo where all the generals lived but chose hiroshima.. d) the irony after the bombing america conceeded to many of japans terms.. your opinion would be valued..

Today, we condemn nations that use weapons of mass destruction in war, therefore it would be hypocritical not to use the same standard.
If we think of WWII Japan as individuals rather than as a collective entity, there were likely many individuals, especially children, who were innocent. Why was it okay to kill those children? Why do we condemn the deaths of children in war today and not those deaths?
Even the soldiers were captives of a concept as it were, in following their Emperor. They were misled. Once they were no longer misled, it turned out they were as decent human beings as anyone else.

BIG CHANGE IN THE WIND?
by The Searcher infollowing on from this post - http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/watchtower/beliefs/282716/1/is-this-the-big-change - my info is that the service meeting items next week are to be reduced by 5 minutes each to allow the cobe to present the secret item to the flock!.
also, no one, not even the cobe knows what the subject matter is yet.. everyone here should be ashamed of themselves for making the glorious ones in brooklyn more secretive than opus dei or the freemasons!!

Fudging the Numbers: Is the WTBTS in decline?
by Coded Logic init's no secret that the wtbts has a cash flow problem.
over the past three years they have closed 20 of their 116 branches.
they have sold off most of their properties in and around ny (including some kingdom halls), drastically reduced the # of printed pages for the watchtower and awake magazines, reduced the printing of books and other materials, increased the number of single page tract campagnes, installed cc machines at their assembly halls, and are now seizing of controll of property assets from local kingdom halls using renovation projects.

http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/jw/friends/278850/1/New-field-service-rules-coming-this-summer
Good intel is that the Watchtower will introduce “new ways” to count time. Likely, this will have an impact on not only total field service hours, but bump up the publisher count as well. If they drop the auxiliary pioneer quota to 30 hours, and the regular pioneer quota to 50, then there might be a bump there as well, especially if it is easier to make one's time.
If it is suddenly easier to make one’s time, then it could be that a large swath of suddenly irregular or inactive JWs will become active. Suddenly, it might seem like a “large increase”…praise Jah for speeding things up! But in reality, nothing has changed but the beancounting. It might be meaningless for us to compare the new metrics to the old…although the Watchtower will obviously present it as a seamless continuity.
Another thought, more previously “unqualified” males might now qualify to be appointed ministerial servants and elders because they are making their hours. This could solve the shortage.

Really weird sentence
by Moses Joe ini've been absent from meetings recently because i'm having serious life challenges that make me really not want to have to deal with all of the people and the sitting.
i had made an attempt to, "simplify my life" that rather than being blessed was meant with unemployment.
lol.. anyway, i finally got tired of all the phone calls checking up on me and sent a message to someone explaining that i just wanted to be left alone (an elder).

This reminds me of when Scientologists confront people with, “What are your crimes?”
