i have just been informed that the watchtower society lovingly stated that all black people would become, over time, white.
this would happen when the earth is to become a paradise.. please tell me that what i have heard are the mutterings of a fool and can't possibly be true!.
my wife is of mixed-race origin and i quite like her the way she is.

I just came across that artical today on a site somehwere...I think it was the jehovahs-witness forum on topix. It was detailing how fulfilled and happy the black race was to be able to serve their master. and yeah, it was condescending and racist.
Yeah, that is the way the saying goes. It also typically dies in the face of cheering crowds who are convinced that all the changes are good for them by charismatic leaders.

my husband has been talking to a jw about business but the jw keeps inserting jw crap (i told my husband this would happen).
i'm not worried about my husband listening to this man (my parents' negative example had taken care of that) but it is interesting and a tad disconcerting to watch how this jw man tries to rope my husband in.

as each instance of shunning happens to me, it seems even more ridiculous than the last.. this weekend i took our kids to the park - wife opted out, understandably - and we let our daughter call my parents to inform them we'd be there.
this was my first time in the presence of my parents since our df announcement two weeks ago.. my mom and dad were 10-20 feet away much of the time and yet they never said a greeting or.. well anything.
at one point my daughter, who is aware of the shunning, mistakenly thought my mom called my name and shouted excitedly, "mawmaw, were you talking to daddy??
said that to my wife. She replied, "I have not let the policy kill our love. YOU have killed the love in our family."

That must be an astounding amount of duplicity going on in a serving elders mind to participate here on this forum, post confidential information, and then,w ith a straight face, switch off and follow the party line when amongst JWs.

I told him I'm not going to talk. He told me to go live my life and that he's not letting me come back home.
Which is probably what he wanted all along. He just needed a reason he can give to his elder buddies on why he turned the light switch off.
