I think that a time of major adjustment is coming for Jehovah's Witnesses.
They've been making "adjustments" for the last 100 years.
Other than that, welcome aboard.
background: i joined the jws when i was 21, left about 11 years ago.. up until recently, i had never been in a relationship that went longer than a few months.
and that was just one.. i've been with my current for the past 3.5 years.
she's, just, okay.. i've never felt like, oh, i love her so much.
Succintly put....
You really don't want her......
but, you don't want anyone else to have her either......
Saw the movie and thought it was pretty funny. Particularlly when TED ws flirting with the cashier with his imitation of what he'd likek to do with her by squirting white lotion on his face. The look on that cashiers face was priceless.
Watched it with my JW wife. She was ashamed to admit that it was pretty funny to her as well.
mcdonald's job listing.

contract type : full time.
But...but...but.......
I thought that years of reading WT and Awake magazines would equip one with the equivalent of a college education?

Reminds me of the movie Precious.
If you're looking for raw emotional content and a very distorted view of motherhood.
If you were saddened by the mothers actions in this clip, the mother in Precious, played by Monique, will take your breath away.
it's been a while since we heard about their engagement.
did they break it off?
did they get married?.
If it weren't for both of their loyalty andveneration of the WTS, those two wouldn't have anything to do with each other and probably wouldn't even give each other the time of day. Other than meetings and service, what would the two of them possibly have to talk about?
10 years from now, she'll definitely have to "deaden" her members as his will have long since died.......it it hasn't all ready.
At a recent assembly I was dragged to attended with my wife, I saw a couple such as this. This ole guy had to have had one foot in the grave and another on a banana peel and she looked and acted like she'd quit maturing at around 13. She was holding on to her "elder" hubby as if she'd just won the lottery while he was limping around with a cane.
I couldn't help but think he must have a great pension and she was hedging her bets!!!!
so, the two local congregations were planning to hold their memorial together at 7:30 at the local community center, but they had to make a last-minute change to their own hall, and i'm pretty sure it was because of me.. let me explain.... at work on monday afternoon, a co-worker returned from her lunchbreak and showed me the memorial invitation that was waiitng in her door when she went home for lunch.
i noticed the sticker on the back indicated the memorial was being held, not at the local hall, but at the community center.
from a past (non-jw) event i attended there, i knew they didn't allow alcohol (unless you pay for security guards), so i wrote to the center's coordinator:.
I don't believe they forgot to read it.....just ignored it as not applying to them...
just as they ignore no trespassing and no soliciting signs.....

Ahh....the old you're persecuting us only because we're JWs line.
I get it now......

Indeed....
The JWs will pick your ass apart and label you a fire breathing mentally diseased apostate if you break any of their rules.
So, obviously, we should give them a pass when they attempt to break a rule.......
They got caught with their
Why shouldn't they suffer the consequences as anyone else would have to do.
