  Reveal something "weird" or "unusual" about yourself

  whatever i drink from the fridge, i put it into the microwave for 10 seconds so that it won't be too cold to drink.. .

  whenever i drink ice cold liquids, it irritates my tongue/mouth and often triggers a sore throat.

  now you have additional proof that i'm weird .

  I can type on the computor, drink a coke, watch TV and study my Watchtower all at the same time. Sometimes though, I forget what the Watchtower says.

  How many are still in the "I want to argue scripture stage?"

  when i left the witnesses, i picked up a bunch of christian books on what the bible says.

  isn't it weird that you have to have so many books, just to tell you what another book is saying?

  anyway, i went through this phase where i still wanted to argue scripture with people.

  People have and continue to argue doctrine. And for thousands of years nothing changes. What is effective is your own experiences (your testimony) and who can argue with that? If it happened, it happened!

  For me leaving the WT took a heavy load off and I'm better for it. Problems, oh yeah, still have them and I miss a few different individuals, but go back, never!

  I personally read and believe the Bible, but most Witnesses could care less about your personal reasoningsand beliefs, until that is, 'their own ox gets gored'!

  Tell me about your favorite family restaurants.

  my wife and i went out for breakfast this morning, as we usually like to do.. however, today we were in the mood for ham with our breakfast, so we hit our "ham" breakfast restaurant.

  we have different restaurants we frequent depending on what we feel in the mood for eating.

  this little restaurant is in a small town next to ours, on a side street, and if you didn't live in this town, you probably would never find it.

  When I used to go out in 'Service' I always looked for the restaurant with the slowest, worst service. Usually gobbled up at least an hour and a half. Who cared if the food was good or bad, as long as they were slow!

  but alas i didnt, even if i did, i'm sure i still would not be able to back as far as i'd like.

  Help! Spanish language materials needed for potential WTS convert

  anyone have any suggestions on effective spanish language audio/video/web materials to deter a spanish-speaking christian lady from continuing her study with the jws?

  the jws have been visiting her for 3 or 4 months, but the indoctrination has not yet kicked in, apparently.

  according to my sources, she "loves jesus" but was hurt by some people in her local church.

  i think the hardest thing i ever went through was my divorce.

  it was something i knew i needed to go through, and get over, but it was the hardest thing of my life.

  i wanted the divorce, but it was so very painful.... what's the hardest thing you've ever gone through?
