I'm origionally from Michigan and certainly not pro-Watchtower. But, I'd have to say, I would just as soon be wrapping Watchtower magazines on a Holiday in place of watching THE LIONS play football.

Holidays at Bethel
by darth frosty ini never knew how important holidays were till i went to bethel.
of course as a witness you back away from the workplace and school holiday celebrations and sometimes, if you worked in a job that was open on holidays, you would work for the extra money or whatever.
i never realized how important holidays were till i got to bethel and had to hike over to the factory on thxgiving day, christmas day and new years day.

by Neo inthe official watchtower 2006 service year report is not out yet, but i have it on good sources that this year's increase on publishers number is 1.9%.
the average number of publishers will be around 6,500,000. .

) always offered id, even the boyscouts would introduce themself and identify their troop number..

With crime, etc. what it is today, I'm surprised anyone answers their door. JW's are probably scaring a lot of little old ladies by their door knocking!

I pray under all circumstances. While I've had a lot of problems over the years, prayers have definitely been answered, although not always as I wished or expected, but always for my best.
Wouldn't go a day without it!

Well its over....
by kerj2leev inafter 13years of marriage, today it finally came to an end!.
it felt very strange as i entered into the court room, my attorney on the right and hers on the left.
we were the first group of 15 or 16 case to be heard today.

I've noted that many on this Board, who obviously are anti-Watchtower, some who haven't been JW's for years, etc. still use the term 'In The Truth'! THE TRUTH????????

NEWS---JW's are now telemarketing--True Story
by gordon d inmy uncle ( a very sweet man) is practically confined to a wheelchair... in recent years he has developed a renued emphasis on all things jdubery.
because of his poor health, he has a phone ministry from his home in the texas panhandle.
there are even a few other witnesses that have joined him in this.

My rabid JW sister-in-law always combed the obituaries in the paper, so she could send families of deceased ones 'Good News' from the Watchtower! I bet that went over like 'standing by tombstones' on Memorial Day and handing out literature.
And they think I am crazy!
